Excellent video, Ken. While the Amazon piece was excellent, the listing of all of the various companies in the Orlando area was even more intriguing. As you mentioned, plenty of opportunities in multiple areas of the economy. Well done!

It would be interesting to compare "how much home" can someone "afford" with those jobs (like the warehouse)

That's a good question, but another thing to consider is that someone working here may be part of a dual income family.

I actually left Amazon as controls technician a few months ago to pursue a controls engineer role with another company. Overall working at a Amazon warehouse was an interesting experience, especially being on night shift. Amazon had great Healthcare, a lot of education benefis, and just a lot of resources in general. The only thing is if you are a salaried warehouse employee it is difficult to have a worklife balance, they demand quite a bit. I also remember them constantly having the warehouse workers working mandatory overtime a lot. But hey this is just my personal experience, it really works for some people!

Very insulting to tell people to work in a low paying warehouse job. She said this facility is 5 years old Where are the professional jobs that require a college education? If Ken worked at Amazon, he could not buy his Star War toys that sit on his shelf behind him on his podcast shows.

I wish u would have done a review about Amazon distribution center in Brevard County. They have (2) brand new distribution centers (Cocoa/Melbourne) that have been vacant for over 6 months. Don’t believe everything u hear about that company!!!

Please know that Amazon has a very hight turnover employee rate due to the major stress they impose on their employees regarding the rate they have to produce. It’s not as good as this video portrays. This is why their turnover rate is one of the worst in the industry! It is true they provide benefits day one and at some facilities the pay is good, but it come with major mental and physical aspects that can be quite a problem for the workers! For the mental games they impose on their workers and expectations the workers deserve much better pay!!!
