No doubt, these guys are inherently skilled but, for the life of me, you would think they would find a more efficient and improved way of doing things to save THEMSELVES labor intensive procedures. I noticed too that when they drill bolts holes, they see no need for them to be equally spaced as long as the mating part matches. However, by doing so, the parts are not interchangeable with other pumps. Lastly, they ought to wear safety glasses and shoes. Anyway, I give them a lot of credit for being so productive despite their methods and working conditions.

Yep. When you steal all of your technical knowledge from other countries you can grow pretty fast. Everything they know they got from North America, Britain, Germany and other European tech countries. They don't invent things. They steal the ideas from the people who do invent things. The workshop in this video is like what you would have seen in USA during the Civil War, except more filing and precision hand work and less hammer beating, and the machines worked on steam or water power instead of electricity. Those same kind of conditions are what lead to child labor and worker safety laws in the USA and other modern day countries, too.
