Love how Bansal makes them question their decision with every question. Helps build the clarity. Great great great video!

This is wonderful. This is a front seat view of how founders and investors interact and negotiate. What goes in the mind of an investor behind the doors. All this will help aspiring entrepreneurs shape their dreams into reality for sure. When access to knowledge and resource starts becoming easy, suddenly you start feeling that things are doable. Kudos to Shantanu and BSC to foster this positive spirit. India needs it!

Its so weird that I know of BSC from so long but just bought the product for the first time since I started watching this podcast. It makes the brand and company just more endearing.

Good luck to the team, was great listening in. Just a few reflections 1. The real value will be in helping founders to decide when to exit. The investors may already know their game but founders really need to know before it starts from good to bad to worse. (May be a podcast taking cue from BSC😊) 2. The proposition also sounds like investors are buying ideas rather than investing in people team etc (as usually is advised and happens). Happy to see and it may trigger more seed investments too. 3. Could this be a ‘Mensa’ for Startup’s?

Strong idea with strong founders! Lots of space to disrupt M&A in general with long timelines these days on screening , eval, DD and deal closure. Done deal looks set to add value to both buyers and sellers. All the best !!

Great set of founders and an amazing episode - A suggestion would be to also cover the areas the founders are going to use the capital for - For example, letting a pre-existing investor exit/ redefining GTM/expansion plans, etc.

I heard once " never think about starting up or get into entrepreneurship just to exit " I hope this new gen with platform like done deal coming in still stick to starting up for a vision that they believe in and want to go all in without thinking about a short runway.

Great idea, seems like a constrained market and narrow market. Also if there are options, seems like there will be a certain culture of creating businesses to be bought out. Todays gap seems a little necessary in terms of creating enough value that leads to necessary value adding buyouts. Also seems like in acquisition

Very good episode. I think helping new startups will be a good market. Shantanu bhai, your podcasts are making your brand more visible. Before finding the podcast i didn't know about BSC . For the first time i bought something from BSC and quite liked it.

Mr Bansal got it in point. too small a TAM, can scale a Banking services firm but not as a product. even globally, too many sell-side boutique firms to fight with. Also, SHANTANU, quick feedback, the session can be shortened to a few minutes. Early stage startup pitch has to be quick, I understand if you get Companies from series B or C. may need time to discuss. Good luck.

So i have a question, They are charging 5% commission on successful deals, suppose I'm an investor (& don't have to pay anything). What's stopping me or the startups to use DoneDeal only to find each other and do the deal without them. Isn't charging startups a registration fee with them makes more sense ? You can charge investors too (since they have bags of them) Btw i genuinely love listening to you. Please do more one-on-one podcasts with entrepreneurs & investors. Thank you 💛🌻

@@sahilkhaire thanks Sahil! We didn’t want to charge a subscription fees, paying for access felt short term and retainer like, exactly what we wanted to avoid, prefer to get paid if we deliver. Same on the investor side, why increase friction and reduce seller visibility?

I am aware of the fact that VCs are looking more toward Market-fit founders or experienced players in the industry. Still, I expected that maybe your platform would promote fresh or young founders so that college students or freshers could evaluate themselves and learn the approach. @shantanu @barbershop
