Late! Praise God. We tried to get this out much quicker but so many obstacles in our marriage, family, & routines went way off course. We weren’t even going to show y’all this cus it’s just not our best professionally- and I’m somewhat of a perfectionist. Here’s a Prime example of how we thought things were gonna be versus how they are actually GO- ing. I didn’t want to waste footage that we put a lot of effort into creating but as I started to actually step into the role of mother, wife, producer I could sense my plans falling out of my control. For example this season we actually decorated our home very nicely for Christmas!! It took teamwork and many daylight hours and many nights. But did you ever see a video on Christmas lights?? No! This husband and wife working duo didn’t have enough energy left to put out a well scripted show for you guys. And I hate that because I want to put something out there for y’all so I can point back to why we really make videos which is to show Jesus!!!
But Sometimes life is just going to be a jumbled pile of mess and we just got to accept that it wasn’t they way we hoped and keep going. We can’t be perfect. I can’t be perfect. I can’t do it all, always, and each time come out with a great thing. And I’m not talking about editing this video. I’m talking about patience with my children, being emotionally available to my husband, having order in my finances, and organization in my household. I can’t do it on my own! Who can do this on their own? I have to give myself over to the Holy Spirit to be able to tackle this everyday battle. On my own things are jumbled but there’s grace for that! On my own I have bad attitudes with my love ones but there’s grace for that. There grace and more grace every moment. I need to live in that grace. If I’m not able to live in the grace given to me by God through Christ Jesus how Can I extend that grace to my children, my husband, myself? Praise God!
Grace is what saves us from our own sin. It saves us from the guilt we feel when we can’t measure up. I think that’s why our Father said “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weekends”.
So let’s be like Paul and be “glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” 2 Corinthians 12
So when those days comes that we know we couldn’t get through the battles of the day without the help of JESUS, we can praise him instead of ourselves.
