Awesome, 3 of my favorite actors, Robert Wagner, Rory Calhoun, and Dale Robertson, sure brings back memories of my childhood with my family….my parents watched all the westerns and it was great seeing this with them. How I love them and the stories they told….much better than some of the movies I’ve seen nowadays with lewd and vulgar language and sexual overtones in them, it does nothing to make a film better…ONLY good story writing and great actors/actresses makes a film good…..thanks for sharing…👍❤️🙏🏼🐎

I watched a lot of westerns through the decades but one interesting thing that’s different with 1950s westerns is the hero often Mary’s his sweetheart in the end and they ride off together. I went to weddings during the 1950s and we put marriage at the top of the list of most important things because we really believed in living happily ever after.
@mmagnusol

You are absolutely right! Nowadays the values we grew up with are mostly gone and we are all the poorer for it. It has gone from looking after one another to selfishness, desperation and greed. How can you respect someone and want to marry them when they have slept around all over the place? I often think about what my grandparents who were born in the 1880s would think. I think they would be shocked and ashamed of the present generations. Loyalty, Love and Honor define us every bit as much as Courage! Sure, everyone now is Free to do as they like, but what else do they have to show for it? Most extended families are now gone, and they are on their own.

I remember my elders talking about how things had changed for the worse, and as a youngster I disagreed. Now I am the one long in the tooth. But reality is what it is. Looking into the personal history, if you can believe that, there was evil afoot even way back then, and movies like this just make you feel a little better about Mankind. We have such a long way to go, but movies like this give me hope and confidence that we will prevail over evil and we will walk among the stars in the universe. Great movie fellas. Very rare quality in today's modern flics!

The Silver Whip is a 1953 American Western. A stagecoach guard (Dale Robertson) and a sheriff (Rory Calhoun) teach a young man (Robert Wagner) two kinds of law.
