Neapolitans feel a lot like a slightly less tactile version of Holy Bobas that are using similar springs. I noticed the difference when typing on SA profile keycaps with both. The neapolitans felt perfect for SA, while the Holy Bobas were just a bit too much for me on SA. Neapolitans were also a bit smoother. They feel a bit more similar when using lower profile keycaps. I'd say Neapolitans are suitable alternative if you don't want to go through the trouble/expense of frankenswitching some Holy Bobas. Keybored, I recently discovered a really nice long spring , it the prolonged spring from prevail key. It's gold plated and 20mm long (so even longer and snappier than tx springs). I hope you can try the 63.5g version someday and let me know your opinion. I borrowed the 68g spring from a stock epsilong switch to try in durock pom piano and coffee chip ice cream, and it really makes the switch much snappier, and without adding lube there is no spring pinging noise compare to unlubed tx long 62g I bought, so I plan to order some 63.5g to try since 68g is too heavy on tactile switch for my weak fingers. Tx long is still god, but I feel the prolong spring I even nicer feel. @Keybored

Yup! It's for certain keycap profiles like SA and MT3 where they are much taller, and the stem wobble becomes more noticeable. So if there is a lot of wobble, you can feel the SA and MT3 caps moving around as you type on them. Also, more stem wobble makes the overall typing feel a bit messier to me... it doesn't have a nice crisp movement... it's hard to explain haha. I did that for a few before, and so far I couldn't find a switch in my possession that can best the sunflowers with the same spring. I haven't used the sunflowers in a while and I put them into a board recently and thought HOLY... this is like crazy tactile

I really like both the coffee chips and the neopolitans but I like the deeper sound of the coffee chips and was wondering if it is really worth the wait for the coffee chips to come back in stock or just get the neopolitans

They're both pretty deep, I would say go for the nea and you'll still be happy :)

I guess with some additional padding in the keyboard, sound can be deeper. By the way have you tried Gateron Oil Kings? Pretty bassy switch with cueball colliding like sound.

Hey Keybored, sorry if you've answered this a million times I just can't find the question in the comments! What case are you using? Are there any mods done? I'm trying to spend ~$3-400 on a full keyboard and i'm all about that silent/deep thoooock if you have any recommendations I would love them! (I enjoy typing over gaming). Hopefully you see this, this video is like a TV show on keyboards, keep it up!

Shame shipping costs are a scam... 120 bucks to ship 110 switches to my country ? WTF?! Guess I'll stay with my chattering U4Ts that are shipped for free on aliexpress.

U4Ts do chatter... I really don't like this about them :(
@vincenzodellama7158

@@Keybored I did a pool on reddit and around one third that bought them had this chatter issue. But we found out the reason. The build quality is really poor and a lot of the switches are coming out of the factory with the internal leafs pressing against each other, making contact without the key being pressed causing chatter and ghosting. A fix is to open the switch and with a thin screw push the inner leaf towards the center so that they stop making contact, you just need to be careful and only press a little so that they don't get to far causing the opposite issue.

@@vincenzodellama7158 I will have to take a look. My wife's u4t kbdpad was registering repeated keystrokes...I thought it was my poor solder technique, so I desoldered and soldered everything back being carefully to keep amount of solder consistent. The repeated keystroke happened once since resolder. Next time I will identify the specific switch and see if I can fix it. So disappointing for such a mid priced switch. I my opinion the tecsee CCIC actually has better build quality than u4t. Sunflower seems the more solid switch though.

anyone know if the coffee chip are the same as the purple pandas? from what i've found they both have the exact same specs 68g short spring, pme housing, holy panda style bump and pom stem. if they are the same, you could potentially save 12c per switch by going for the purple pandas instead!
@Keybored

I wouldn't be surprised if they are! I doubt the manufacturers change too many things from one switch to another due to tooling costs
