What an era of great musicians. I am so glad I grew up listening to them. So much to learn from.

His hammond B3 is here in Phoenix. His roadie Bobby C got it when he passed and it sat in the Club called Bobby C's off of 12 street and Washington Ave in downtown Phoenix. George Benson used to haunt that club. Great Jams there, loads of great musicians and you never really knew who would show up. Good memories

Sheer brilliance--what else can you say!! If there was ONE thing I wish was included it would be a Kenny Burrell solo. Aside from that--this is musicianship at the very highest level!!

Damn! The ultimate.killer.crew! Absolutely brilliant! Jon Faddis has the.virtuosity of Dizzy and the melodic creativity of Miles at the same time. James Moody is a legend! Insane bebop chops and melodic precision. Grady kills at all times_ but that hand improv _ never seen that from amyone before. And Jimmy! That guy has butter on his hands! 20 cool points! 😎 Kenny Burrell. always excells!

There's something incredibly tight about organ combos I always liked about them. Its the bass in the left hand/pedals I think. Better alignment between bass and comping I guess. I've never heard anything swing quite like a good organ combo can on a good night, current example to wit.
