I watched this video 4 years ago. Never, in any moment of my life, someone said that I was important, or that they needed me, or that I have something to give or offer to anyone. This old man said to me something so simple, in such a short, compact and in a serious manner something that changed something in me. I was so pessimistic about everything, my life, the world. And after the video ended something switched in my brain, some nail was hammered, some screw got tightened. I never felt so inspired and hopeful about my capabilities. I went to seriously work on myself for the first in my life. Finished high school, got a job, made the final exam with a score that never in my best dreams hoped to get. Got into the best Uni of my country, with a subject that I love the most, made the first friends in almost 10 years, and now I hardly recognize myself from 5 years ago. Now I am seeing crisis, one after another, it all seems bleak, where I even question if this is ever going to stop... But once again this video got in my recommendations, and once again, I remember why it was, and still is, so impactful to me. This old guy changed my life forever, I really wished he was still here to read this comment, and know how much grateful I am to him. Work hard everyone! Never stop the chain this man created! Best of effort to everyone who is still in this fight!

@einarblood-axe9328

@@delve_ to add to that, my idea is that however KZitem's algorithms work, it in some way incorporates current events and talking points from comments and recent video subjects and video titles that the majority clicks on to determine what is and is not relevant at any given time. So the reason this video "randomly" got recommended again now is BECAUSE of what's going on right now in the world. KZitem likely didn't pick this video out themselves to show the world some good advice in these trying times. Instead they probably just wrote their algorithm in such a way that, essentially, WE picked this video out as being within the realms of videos we want more of based on the types of videos we already watch.

@@user-vk2wp4ot8h Soccer/football will never match the popularity of basketball, the NBA, gridiron football/NFL, baseball/MLB, or hockey/NHL in the USA or Canada... nor come will it come anywhere near approaching the level of popularity in Europe, Africa, and Latin America. It's just not going to happen. They've been trying for years. NFL football is still king, NBA has overtaken MLB (which is still huge, despite a clear downward trajectory) for 2nd place and is only growing internationally with stars like Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetekoumpo, Nikola Jokic, Victor W... Plus, among the "Big Four" professional sports leagues, the smallest (NHL) is currently in the experiencing a significant boost in viewership and overall popularity in the USA. It could end up being that professional (MLS) soccer's best chance is to one day eventually surpass Major League Baseball's popularity and/or revenue. But that is unlikely... even with the alarming demographic trends threatening baseball's place in American culture. Even as the most likely league to be eclipsed by MLS one day... this would take decades to gradually transpire.

I am 17 years old and I am living a period of failure, but inside me I have beautiful dreams, in my soul, in my heart. Recently, I discovered that wishing and wanting is not enough. You have to struggle to reach what you want. When I am the age of this great man, I want to be proud of what I have created, what I have presented, what I have succeeded in, and what I have failed to achieve. I know that I am in a bad situation now and no one believes in me, but I can overcome this. God is with me and myself is with me as well. This video appeared to me by chance. I felt it was a signal for me to stop, wake up from my sleep, get up, and stop creating drama and illusions. I must get up and live a real life, overcoming my fear and the bad people in my life. I know that this is difficult because I have tried hundreds of times and failed, but I will be stronger. I will fight for the peaceful and prosperous life that I desire, no matter what the cost. Rest in peace, great man. I hope your kind soul rests in heaven♥.

The speaker quit school in 10th grade and had to work 90 hours a week to survive. He taught himself to read and write while serving in the military. The speaker encourages young people to learn and position themselves for success. He believes that young people are the backbone and future leaders of the world. 6:29: ❤️ An old soldier encourages young people to use their minds, hearts, and lives to make a positive impact on the world. Young people should rise above frustration and not let it lead to destructive behavior. Success is achievable with determination, inner will, and a desire to learn. A great African proverb because we did not have widespread written history. Most wisdom was passed orally so when the elders passed they took all their wisdom with them. Thus children would often sit at the feet of elders listening to stories of times gone by

I am sobbing while watching this. It randomly appeared in my suggested after a pretty bad panic attack. The world seems out of my control; it is 2023. Things are surface level good for me, but nothing is stable. It feels like it will crumble at any moment. Those in power seem to eat everything up in their greed no matter what we do, and those older than me (I’m 29) only have harsh words to give to my generation when we try to seek advice or share how confusing this time is with them. I’ve prayed for some older, wiser being to converse with, to show me the way, to hear me out. I’m so thankful for this video. I saw that this sweet soul passed away, god bless his soul. This was the answer to my prayer. I am determined to become the old person young people can turn to for hope and encouragement, like he did for me. Thank you. ❤

haha yes! My thoughts exactly! To me it felt like a moment where he was in tune with God- speaking His words through his own self....so in a way...maybe to him it seemed like he got off track. Because for a moment- the words he began to speak were not a part of his plan alone to say. I felt like I got to witness a moment where Truth became true: that all good things come from the good Source. And when we do good intentions out of our heart- they are in fact inspired from this Source of all good- even if we aren't aware of it. That our own choice to choose good over bad allows this beautiful interaction between these two worlds. Please, if you are reading this- no matter what you believe in- please choose to give in to the tenderness of your heart. You don't have to believe in what I believe to decide to give love to others. So please, let the love flow and choose to love. Aside from every single thing in this entire world of beliefs and philosophies- the one thing we can all choose to do universally- as one- is to love. Love is the only thing in this world that may divide us and bring us together. The divide is our love for different things. But the togetherness- is the love that we feel for each other. And we don't have to agree on anything if we agree to love; because it's strong enough to accept all of the differences that may divide us.....when it is truly love. Learning to love a person down to the center of who they are- as a person; rather than the things that shaped them into it. This way of loving a person leads into the love of the journey they've taken and the things that shaped them into who they are. Allowing true tender love to hold a person; instead of the idea of the things that we choose to love. :D
