I have a Kamado Joe Jr for years and really enjoy it. Was thinking on eventually getting the classic or big joe. But, this one is tempting me. Specially the price and if it can do everything joe does.

Taking the prices out of the equation, would you choose a Huntsman or a Weber Summit equipped with a Spider Venom? I ask because the Summit comes in a larger size than does the Huntsman. I'm also curious as to what the outdoor temperature was during your cook.

If it has a feature where you can unlock the lid to have an extension for hanging ribs or cooking multiple brisket. This grill/smoker would be next level. Also adding a deflector would be preferred to maximize the entire grill for smoking.

You don’t need the Slow N Sear if you have the venom. I love to use the Slow N Sear when I’m going manual!

This should be sold with a diffuser. Putting coals in the side without diffuser. Is not the same as proper indirect as it will still get some radiant heat from the charcoals being so next to it! I really hope this isn’t a grill that you have to buy accessories so it works like it should. There is plenty space to add a diffuser stock with this grill Good luck 🍀

There two spots to insert the grate probe (bolt on the front / or through the back of the lid). Can you use one of ports not in use by the grate probe for the meat probe? It just seems that would be cleaner than running the meat probe through the lid everytime.
