I always look forward to your videos. What ar your thoughts on advocacy? What should the diaspora be advocating and organizing for in this time?

Hi, thank you for watching! I'm planning a video to walk through advocacy points. Most pressing now would be to advocate for (1) mechanisms to hold foreign actors accountable for violations of Haitian rights; (2) gender parity in the new transitional government; (3) funding decisions and mechanisms that favor local, Haitian-led and operated organizations that feed, clothe, shelter, and educate Haitians; and (4) the formation of an electoral council and election procedures through national dialogue that includes the voices of every day Haitians. We must ensure that free and fair elections take place through a process that all Haitians are confident in (unlike during Moise's election), free from foreign manipulation (which was found in Martelly's election), where candidates are safely able to campaign, and where Haitians are safely able to vote.

You're the only channel on youtube that even mentioned Anthony Blinken's comments about wanting to bring in UN troops but you forgot to mention the _reason!_ It's so the US based apparel companies can have access to Haiti's labor force. (Paraphrased) If you need to hear clear audio of his statements I have a link to a video with clear audio on my community tab. I'd really like to hear your reaction!

Hi! I listened to Secretary Blinken's remarks. History shows us that U.S. support for military intervention in Haiti always comes down to securing U.S. economic interests. The apparel companies are one of many U.S. economic interests that may benefit from a full-scale UN peacekeeping force. I'll do a longer video on justifications for foreign intervention in Haiti. Thank you for watching!

@@ToLaw1 Thank You for your reply. It disgusts me that imperialism continues to manifest under the guise of security and nation building, when corporate interests are the real motivation.

I'd like to learn more into this. what are some of these companies? or where I can look it up?

@@Justcetriyaart I have no idea which actual companies are involved. I clipped the video where he briefly stated US intentions and made a short yesterday from the video of Anthony Blinken's press conference in Haiti. The video with clear audio of the entire press conference is posted on my community tab. It is really troublesome that the _fashion_ industry is seeking to exploit more workers to make clothing that is ill fitting and ends up in landfills or destroying local tailors in developing countries.
