Damn the critics! I think you're doing an amazing job with the breakdown of your hacks to help the average person acomplish the flips, I don't see those people criticizing you trying to help anybody acomplish what you are accomplishing, keep up your outstanding job!!

For me, and I just might be bit of a whimp, getting a spotter ended up being the key to finally getting over the fear of the backflip... I really tried, but I just couldn’t get myself to do it on my own! If you’re able to do it on your own, that just means you have balls of steel in my opinion. Because boy is it scary to jump backwards with your neck potentially on the line! 😂 On another note; this seems oddly specific... I would love to know who he’s throwing shade at 😂

Thanks for the advice. Ig I’m like u and unable to do it by myself. So I might as well get a spotter

Mynameisanonymous Some people really don’t need it! But for me atleast, I spend 4 days trying to learn the backflip alone, and then it only took me 30 minutes in total, to get it with a spotter! 😅 The progressions movements definitely helped (I watched a lot of Lucas's videos, so many great tips and pointers on this legendary channel for sure), but getting a spotter really was the breaking point me. Knowing someone was there, just made me finally commit fully without fear
@Anonymous-mg8bu

Dominic just make sure the person you get to spot you is relatively the same size/weight as you, and that he/she knows how to do it properly! It’s pretty easy to learn though: to spot someone on the backflip you just need to 1) stand close to their side, 2) keep your dominant hand on their lower back and 3) your other hand behind their legs. 4) Then you just follow the person through the movement. The good thing is that with someone spotting you like this, you don’t have to worry about not making it all the way around; since if you don’t, they can simply just give you a slight nudge! You obviously still need to jump, tuck and put in effort - but it gives you safety with someone standing there, knowing that at least you wont land on your neck! Hope this helps 🙌🏽

I’m a gymnast. I always record myself and it helps to see what I’m doing. I always jump to much back but I’ve gotten better at jumping straighter up. I’ve only been learning it for a few days, so I’d say I’m doing rlly good. This helps a lott!

So I've been trying to learn at home with my dad spotting me (though he isn't helping me go around just holding me before I jump) and at the most, I can only land while my leg is still bent and my hands on the ground in front of me and I can't seem to tell if my hands of my feet hit the ground first. Any advice on how to land straight up? I also still tend to feel anxious and my dad has to keep restarting countdown lol.
