Here's one to start with once you do~! Would highly recommend you check an Indian film called Kill (yeah its a bland title for a fantastic film admittedly lol). I would sell it to you as effectively The Hills Have Eyes if it were an action film set on a train.

Have you seen Dead Man's Shoes 2004? It really blew me away, really hard hitting, didn't get the recognition it deserved in my opinion. Keep up the good work, enjoy the reviews!

@@TheManiac666 Dead Man's Shoes really is an awesome, thoughtfull movie that makes you think about peoples behaviour. This shouldnt be missed out!
Everything you said is common sense. I also avoid movies i think i would dislike. I value your opinion, your honesty. This is a movie I will skip. Im pretty sure I will find it dull. Thank you sir! Any video from you is very entertaining. You are appreciated.

Your example of a guy going to a meeting reminds me of those "Norman" shorts rifftrax makes fun of. But the main difference is stuff happens to Norman, despite it being all padding, It's still interesting.

I think the “real time” nature of the scenes are meant. I for one enjoyed this film as a one off. It makes a change from the choppy fast MTV video editing employed by a lot of film makers.

An example of a slasher film that follows the killer in an entertaining way is “The Hollywood Strangler Meets the Skid Row Slasher” from 1979. It follows a serial killer doing ordinary tasks between the kills, but you hear his thoughts.

The beauty of the padding is that it’s done with great cinematography. And its artistic style of using negative space rather than overwhelm you with a typical movie dialogue. It’s almost got a silent film vibe. You also get to appreciate the costume design of the killer. The chains, the way he walks. The scars on his head, the ripped holes on his shirt. The work on his face and mask. The star of the movie ain’t no Brad Pitt. But his looks smell like it and this ain’t no movie about flowers!

If any horror flick deserves a remake, it's Fade to Black. Mostly because of how much it's been ignored & slept on, over the years. The remake should NOT be a shot for shot one, but one that takes the premise, updates it, of course, & makes it more of it's own thing.

I waited to watch In A Violent Nature before watching this review. You hit every one of my problems with this movie with the exception of one. After he killed the girl by drowning the girl, they made a big deal of his breathing when he was shot. However how did he travel the entire length underwater if he needs to breathe. The movie was 94 minutes but felt like a three hour movie

I enjoy your work. I grew up in the 80s & horror was pretty much all there was. I am a Sci-fi fan myself but it is interesting to look back and see you review Obscure movies from my childhood. I have PTSD so I really can’t watch horror movies for fear of triggering it but I did watch a movie recently that was way more than I expected. Nefarious. It’s a movie geared more or less to people of faith but it deals with the demonic and at points will play with your head and scare you. I believe you should give it a try

Good review, not as rambling and not as ranting as you might think, i think you gave constructive criticism . I did enjoy the movie a lot even if it , at times, turned into a "walking simulator" .

I’d say I had more fun with it than you did, but didn’t love it and don’t need to see it again. I agree with your issues with it, it felt like I was watching someone play a video game once in a while. Unfortunately I paid to see it, which I wasn’t happy with. However, I didn’t hate it.

For the most part it is just a by the numbers slasher movie with one really inventive kill during a yoga scene. I appreciated some the gory kills and practical effects. Unfortunately, some of the acting was not up to par. The line deliveries were extremely wooden.

I didn't enjoy the movie either. But I am curious if you've seen the 1983 Austrian Horror Film "Angst". It's unconventional as well, but much more engaging and fun. I would like to hear your thoughts on that movie.

There's plenty of good newer original horror movies out there. Infinity Pool, No One Will Save You, Abigal, Immaculate, just to name a few. I'll admit this is an original spin on a slasher movie, but it is not an original film. It's just a slasher where we're watching the killer walking around for most of it. If you liked the movie that's fine, but this film is mostly padding which I think is lazy filmmaking.
