Hyde has a video where he and “Jimmy from the Cog” go out to the actual locomotive at the Colorado Railroad Museum and talk about it. It’s a truly incredible locomotive, and seeing the rods work in your video is amazing!

what about holding limited time competition event on a spesific topic. Like 60 minute build time and subs would vote the winner so no hard feelings. Or something like trailmakers competition no short limited time and people will submit their creations about that topic etc.

Hi kAN, I'm the one that made the swerve drive at 5:20. It is commonly used in high school robotics competitions. I made the gearing slow because when it spins fast the gears glitch and skip teeth a lot. Also one thing to note is that driving will be faster or slower depending on if you are spinning left/right at the same time due to how the rotation and translation gears are linked. Edit: I've tried making a robot with four of these modules but it doesn't work well due to the aforementioned teeth slipping and also because there are no encoders to ensure that all 4 modules rotate perfectly in sync.

Sup, creator of the V4 trammel gearbox car here. The main thing im actually using that creates all of the floating stuff is zero width blocks (also the reason you see 0 plastic in the lift). Zero width blocks are a thing you can create with blueprint editing, they are basically flat pannels that can have 0 collision and are also invisible, so you can use them to create dual output engines with a trammel and very good and small u joints. About the shifting, its quite complicated and uses very weird and new tech to actually allow this to happen, but it basically shifts the output gear of the trammel up and down to then get a 1:1 and a 1:2 ratio, and then the whole thing is powered by a V4 piston engine with a stretch linakge. It was quite funny to see you react to the build, but im glad you checked it out, I would also love to see you get back into some more piston engine stuff!

kAN, at 6:50 you showed a swerve drive module. I have a lot of personal use with these in real life in the FIRST Robotics Challenge (FRC). They are really neat and very cool to watch/play with, and are very useful. One of the primary uses are the ability to rotate the whole bot while still moving in the same direction using "Field Concentrics". Again I recommend both checking out a local FRC team as there are over 9000 team worldwide, soon to be 10000, and taking a closer looking into swerves. My team, Team 245 Adambots, started using the mk4i swerve drives last year and it has opened up so many new opportunities to everyone in my team. The World Championship is 4/17, and Canadian team 2056 OP Robotics is looking to win.

Regarding the S-Bahn: The "S" stands for "Stadt", which is "city" in German. So it is a short range city train for commuting to and from big cities. Pretty certain, the grey area is the toilette.

The invisible blocks on that creation are blueprint edited blocks, you can make them by blueprint editing the X, Y or Z axis of the block to a value of 0.

@kiveonn
3 ай бұрын
@@vibaj16 iirc that layer combines the small and big asteroid hitboxes and feeds into the layer that checks for collision with the ship. So changing that gate into AND just means that you won't get hit if you touch an asteroid on that specific pixel on the screen. Well, actually you would still get hit if there was a big and small asteroid there on top of each other.
