As that lonely, scared (not) teenage you describe, it feels both inspiring and comforting, encouraging and yet sad to think of the future people I might have in my life, wishing they could be here now and fearing they won't ever come. Your love for your friends and their love for you is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

This is so strong! The deep message, the process of at first unknown people, strangers, living their own lives, suddenly becoming most important people in one's very lives, the merging of their respective histories - so beautifully described. With this video you are communicating more than your words are saying. It's art. And those moments of clarity, of full immersion with the people and the world, feeling the ultimate to be one, it's impossible to plan them, they come unexpectedly, as fast as they are suddenly gone away again. So, we have to appreciate them while they are present.

Another genuinely poignant Kim video that we all need right now. The footage of your camping trip was really beautiful, sometimes you're lucky enough for those stars-aligning days where the very atmosphere and energy combine, whisking away all sadness and greyness for awhile. And the company of friends matters the most of all. Bravo!

Thank you Kim. A very valuable message although it's hard to break away as much as we'd like given the oppressive nature of society and the social constraints that stop us from achieving our potentials. I strongly believe that some form of basic universal income would help to provide some level of stability and freedom to be our true selves and achieve what we want to in the world while still remaining socially productive.

@@OhItsJustKim I hope so too although I can't help but feel the government has already missed an opportunity for this at the start of the lockdown. Instead of guaranteeing 80% or workers' incomes, while leaving so many out of the loop altogether, they could have introduced UBI and then guaranteed say 60% of salaries on top. That way everybody would have been covered. Any UBI payments to the highest earners could have been clawed back through increased taxes on the wealthy. Let's hope there's a rethink in government at some point especially considering the massive levels of unemployment that we're now going to be facing.

I don't really comment on nothing other than the topic of audio, but here goes: You're really smart. The whole video is really well put together and meaningful. Adding to that, I think the bit that resonated with me the most was from about 7:00 to 7:30. That is what I think is the best way to live life. Knowing that people and experiences won't always be with you in any other form other than memories. That makes me enjoy them (the people and the experiences) and pay attention and really treat them as a unique moment. And I hope I can remember them for as long as I live. Cheers!

I know exactly how you feel, I've struggled to make friends for a lot of my life, including college, and then when I graduated it felt like I'd missed my last chance to make good friends. Now I'm kind of living between two places and I know the friends I've managed to make will eventually fade away as well because of the distance and I worry about it a lot. There are apps and stuff to help you meet new people now, so that's something at least. But I hope you can find friends who live near you soon though

Thank you, I really enjoyed that. I think my life is actually all the good things right now, but I've still got this sorta leftover stress and distraction from earlier days, or maybe that's just my general mental state. It can be hard to get that clarity and joy and live in the moment (I got it yesterday while prancing around in the snow in tasmania!) I liked that you pointed out that sometimes your brain won't let you live in the moment, and to not be too hard on yourself. I hadn't thought of it in that way. Surrounding yourself with good friends certainly helps though, if you can Enjoy your day Kim!

So true, life is in the little moments of rainstorms and bookshops and bussing tables too. Through meditation and focusing on being present all the time we are able to focus on it unfolding around us. By chasing the next moment we will never truly be present. As I watched this video a rainstorm just hit NYC and I was like damn....life is happening.

I've been amazed at how quickly work has gone back to normal since we've reopened, like lockdown never happened. How life-shifting lockdown felt, how it felt like I finally had seen everything in perspective, and how quickly it's been forgotten in seven weeks. I'm working on spending my days off for myself and my partner, not thinking about how soon I'll be back to work. I've been booking time off thoughtfully, rather than procrastinating until the deadline is looming and I get random weeks assigned to me! Your videos recently have been a great reminder of the value and clarity I discovered while furloughed, and helping me regain a grasp on it when work overwhelms everything

In your ADHD video you shone a light on part of my soul that I did not know I had, and now you do it again. I may come back to you on this, maybe even make a reaction video, as oldschool as that is. Beautiful video, thank you Kim. I've been really struggling over the last few weeks of lockdown, which has resulted in me sitting on my computer doing basically nothing until 1/2am. Then I wake up at 9am and turn my laptop on to start work and feel like crap throughout the day because I've not had enough sleep. Then the cycle continues. I want to be better, I want to go outside and explore nature like you said, but finding the motivation is so so difficult right now. Where was it that you were going for a walk in this video? Over the last couple of days I've decided I'm going away somewhere for the bank holiday weekend - somewhere in the UK that I've not been to - because I need it and I deserve it and I want to explore. I'm looking into where I could go, and the place in your video is beautiful 😊

It's just a few hours down the road for us and pembrokeshire coast national park has so many coastal walks through the fields and hills, and so many different beaches with their own charm. it's a perfect place for a getaway, but unless you're in wales i imagine it'd be quite a while away for you since it's right in the south west corner of wales. x

@@OhItsJustKim Oh no, please don't apologise! I'm really grateful that you've come back to me now, even a year later. Unfortunately I never did make an opportunity for myself to go on a trip. Your reply has ushered me to watch your video again, and it's brought back all of those feelings and desires to get away that I had a year ago. The reminder has come at the right time as well; I've got a week booked off in 3 weeks because I was planning to no-life the new Final Fantasy 14 expansion when it comes out 🤣 but I'm gonna take at least half of that week away. I'm gonna explore Pembrokeshire coast. I'm gonna explore other areas around there too. Thankfully I'm only in Derby so it's not too much of a drive for me - thank you for letting me know! I'm doing a lot better since my other comment too - I started running, I've taken up streaming (content creation is now a passion that I'm slowly working towards making my full-time career), I've made new friends from across the world, and I'm seeing my close friends again at every opportunity. I have more direction, purpose & enthusiasm than ever before and it feels incredible. The opposite problem is now the case in that I'm too busy with personal growth that I'm not taking time out... I really hope you're doing okay as well Kim. I know sometimes you've gotta take a break from things, creativity comes in waves, or life plans change, but I wanted to make sure life is alright for you too as it's been a long time since your last upload 😊
