I chose to exaggerate how "complicated" this card trick is in the hope that viewers would (in the end) conclude that it is not THAT complicated and it's certainly a card effect that they CAN learn and perform. (A little well-intended reverse psychology.)
My playlist devoted to "Triple Over-COATing" and "Off-Centered COATing" is called: "Third Time's a Charm!" • Third Time's a Charm!
Technical Notes
( 1 ) The acronym "COAT" (as used in this presentation) stands for "Count Out And Transfer" and was coined by Colm Mulcahy in his wonderful book "Mathematical-Card-Magic-Fifty-Two-Effects," which is a must-read for any aspiring mathematical card magician: www.amazon.com/Mathematical-C...
( 2 ) If the spectator happens to choose a card that has 14 or 15 letters in its name, then you've hit the Jackpot! Why? Because, when you complete the Off-Centered COATing of the words "magic" and "their chosen card name" (and remove the top card that has risen from the bottom), the remaining 14 cards will have a Mirrored structure. Consequently, you can immediately Klondike all 7 remaining pairs of companion cards to the table without needing to make any adjustments to the cards.
