Enjoying having found your channel just very recently, watched your video on the Canik Mete SFT pro and was going to comment on a couple things but didn't, I have had the the same gun for a couple or so years now and have a few thousand rounds through, over 2 maybe approching 4000 rounds by now because I typicaly go thru about 12,000 rounds of 9mm split between 4 9mm handguns I own, all are Caniks BTW after getting rid of my Walthers, Glocks, Beretta's, S&W's, at one time I owned like 45 different polymere striker fired 9's, but for me now Canik is where it's at , but I will comment here, I like a knife with a heavier blade, less slicey but as you say holds up to ruff and tumble stuff like is often found in a more working enviroment, well not that it really matters I guess but I'm what some would call an old fart or "fud" I think is the catch word of the day LOL because of how I tend to look at certain things at times , I am flexible and open minded but also strong willed and stuborn on things I have learned from my 58 years on this globe,, real world doing not what is said on paper or parroted across the internet,, I get alot of crap about things I say in comments because no one ever tends to want to believe your claims unless you put it in a video or tweet about it or whatever the newest hot format is,, well the old fuddy in me says this,,, the devil will be looking for winter clothing before I ever do video posting LOL,,, I would have to first learn how to use some of these new fancy cameras guys use,, Hell I barely got my phone camera figured out LOL,, anyhow I have had this exact same knife for some time now and it is a pretty darn good knife, the CPM 20 steel is excellent and benchmade does it well, the problem I have with the design and the MANY like it out there is the open back spacer area,, I know it saves weight and lets pocket lint fall out and so on I get it,,,, BUT the problem I have with it is I have come to hate the pocket clip method of carry, I lost a Chris Reeves because of thick brush while out hunting due to catching on a limb and being pulled out, I also lost a Spyderco para 2 the same basic way but while riding a 4 wheeler, well prior to pocket clips ever becoming popular I always just carried a regular old pocket knife and still have my first ever knife that my dad bought me clear back when I was like 8 or 9,, it's an old Schrade/Imperial barlow, I still have the first knife I ever bought myself as my first real hunting knife when I started hunting at 12 years old, it's a Buck 110 folding hunter that I bought at Kmart, the sheath is like brand new because I always just put it in my pocket, somewhere I bet I still have the reciept,, well anyhow I started carrying the griptilian just in my pocket and every time I would pull it out to be used it would be dull as hell, I would resharpen it but it would be dull again,, i was starting to think it was a bunch of garbage,, not the steel because it was not my first experience with CPM 20 CV but just that Benchmade had some how just made this one crap some how,, well after this went one for about a year os so I put my hand in my pocket and got poked by a slightly open knife blade,, BINGO I just found out what the hell was going on, the loose change i often have in my pocket was getting thru that wide open backspace area and doing a hell of a job of beating the crap out of the edge, and this time had gotten so badly jammed up in there that it was holding the blade slightly open and jammed up so tight that I had to use my leatherman pliers to get the coins out and it freed up,, lesson learned no more open back spacer knives for me, damn fine knife otherwise, that leads me to the absolute best knife I have EVER owned in my entire life and it is the Benchmade 928 proxy,, where folding knives go it just CAN'T get any better if you ask me, CPM20CV steel that performs perfectly in every way or a damn good ballance of traits overall, closed in backspace area, tough as an anvil handle materials, a blade shape and design that is nearly dynamite proof and very usefull in nearly every task you would use a knife for, I once did a not so smart thing with my 4 wheeler once by going down a very steep hill on a mountain trail here in the rocky mountains of Idaho where I live,, well after I got down said steep trail and was down there at the river doing some fishing it started to rain,, well that rain turned that trail to something as slippery as really slippery ice,, and the 4 wheeler would just not climb back up that trail for nothing (it is a 700 grizzy with maxis bighorn tires so a very capable quad), anyhow I knew that about a quarter mile or so down river a jeep trail came from the main road that come in a different direction than I had originally came from but hooked up with the road I needed to be on to get home,,, but in that quarter mile was thick as bugs on a bumper alder brush, well I aimed the grizzly that direction and started plowing thru the brush,, now mind you this was only supposed to be a couple hour quick little outing to do a tad of fishing I wasn't prepared for a big wilderness adventure, kinda like a lot of survival for your life stories start, anyhow it got to a point where even the mighty grizzly just couldn't plow thru that thick underbrush,, what to do?, well I took out that 928 proxy and started hacking down brush (am machette would have sure been nice and now one lives permenently on the 4 wheeler FYI LOL), I must have hacked down half the distance with that knife, some of the stuff I hacked down with it was damn near the full blade's length or nearly 3 inches diameter, but I managed to hack enough down to get thru but not before it had gotten to be pretty much dark out and my hands (especially my right one) were blistered and bleeding from using that knife so hard and sop much,, believe it or not after all that the knife was still pretty damn sharp and only needed a bit of stropping to get a razor edge again, the fact that I sharpen to a slightly covex edge does help edge retention as I have learned over the years, I use the work sharp Ken Onion before that stones and leather stropps, but the work sharp makes the job easy as pie, anyhow I bought that 928 for $300 and now they are discontinued and that really pisses me off benchmade, you can still find them but guys are wanting more like $500 for them,, should have bought 2 or 3 of them because this one has never left my pocket in like 7 years now, I will be devastated if I have to give this gem up for some reason, I have considered paying the 500$ to get another that is how good it is in my book, anyhow I tend to be long winded and this book says that LOL sorry for taking up so much of your space and time to read this if you do but I just had to share my thoughts and stories with you.

I enjoyed the read! Thanks for commenting. And yes, the only time I've ever lost a knife was almost certainly due to the pocket clip snagging on something. I've had it happen a few times, but usually I feel or hear it drop out of my pocket. Thankfully it was a CRKT. I'd be sick if it was one of my Spydercos, Benchmades, or other high dollar knives.
