I love the Hanna Salinity. Pretty accurate and the digital display is really nice. Really easy to calibrate too.

Do you have to let the coralife hydrometer soak for 24hrs in salt water when you first get it? Mine isnt giving a correct reading its off by a lot

Yes I did to get the air bubbles out, then it worked

@@jacksonsparrow8865 If I remember right, once the swing arm is "cured" it should work every time. If your budget allows, I highly recommend the Tropic Marin Precision Hydrometer, no calibration needed and it's always spot on, down side is that it's large and very brittle.

I have an issue with that my friend. I just got it and at 7:30 it's soaked in 24 hours of salt. But it is supposed to stay high or would it read the actually salinity of my reef water?

If there are no bubbles on the swing arm it should read true
