Lake Ohrid is fed primarily by underground springs on the eastern shore which begins at nearby Lake Prespa, about 10 kilometers/6.2 miles southeast and at a higher altitude than Lake Ohrid. The water trickles through underground karst landscape, and eventually emerges in springs below the water surface of Lake Ohrid.
Five rowers will take tourists on a 30 minute ride over the springs with its different color colored sands and algae while a species of Oak exist along the shore, partially submerged under water. Rower Alexander would point out bubbles emerging from underground springs and say, "Do you see the bubbles? Do you see them?" Umm, sort of? But, the crystal clear, pure water is gorgeous and was a fun respite from the usual church, more church, another church, and still, another church.
Might as well "go with the flow"...ha, ha...
