My favourite part about the China collapse videos is that it's been running for a whole year, and they keep saying it'll collapse in 20 days, and when it inevitably not collapse, they'll restart the counter to another 20 odd days, then the people gooning for China's collapse conveniently forgets about the previous wrong prediction

This doesn't even mention the tofu dreg construction, which is causing the newly built houses and apartments to just crumble apart, the volleyball gym roof collapse is a prime example of that. Basically because so many people pre-ordered a house, the real estate companies decided to just spam building houses as fast as inhumanly possible, at the cost of the integrity of the buildings. It's so insane that the recent houses, those within 10 or so years, are actually collapsing faster than the houses built 20 or 30 years ago.

I remember reading that the developers have built this stuff in anticipation of growth in that area. One of the main examples is the housing crisis, where China builds large apartment complexes, but nobody lives in them until 15 years later. I found this idea of development interesting, but it allows for dated housing then.

Unironically Africa is looking like a fantastic job market for new Chinese graduates, and those that took the leap are saying so in their social media. Spending a few years in Africa making money while your living expenses are covered by the company in a one of the few countries that still have a positive view of China sounds pretty good compared to the domestic job market which has turned incredibly competitive while lowering pay.

@@kitolz You need to understand that the US has always been the aggressor and the playground bully for most of its existence, but moreso in the last few decades, *especially* considering the global south. Where I am, in NL, we understand America's contribution to NATO despise all of America's batshit capitalist policies. Your "liberals" parade as the bastion of hope and humanity for the underprivileged while espousing corrupt, exploitative capitalism that aims to pillage the global South and gladly uphold the status quo. China is no better considering their capitalism, but their policies and contracts with African countries have actually changed my mind, because unlike your bog-standard American raping and policing via the IMF, China's has tangible benefits.

great rundown this time. I've seen the argument that its a great chance for them to build out a world-class healthcare system. This would give their educated youths work, and would reassure consumers that they won't die old and alone, all while being a form of stimulus. And the central government *has* money to do this. But since this is a policy that would mostly make china a nicer country without really making them more powerful, I'm not sure Xi will go for it.
@kitolz

Local governments in China take the majority of their income in land sales instead of taxes (which mostly go to Beijing/central government). Which is why this real estate crash is also extremely devastating for government projects. Most regions absolutely do not have the money to do anything big. Rumors being that they've been strong arming local banks into giving loans to the regional governments to continue operations leading to further cash flow issues. Lots of reports on withdrawal issues, but official data is sparse and social media is regularly censored.

Atrioc, loving the content. I have to clarify what they mean by "Cash pool". This is an insurance term and it does share characteristics with Ponzi schemes. Ponzi schemes were created off of the system. The system itself is not a scam, though, and it is how insurance carriers lower their cost by spreading risk over many assets. The same thing is done with retirement accounts, for example. Annuities such as Social Security are an example of a "cash pool". When invested in different tranches of risk you can achieve higher than average market returns quite reliably. This is how Hedge Funds work in the most basic sense. Cheers!

You did not mention that their chips are 5 years behind and most of their ev's are pieces of junk and will only sell to 2nd world countries. If anyone has any recommendations to similar content please comment below I would love to watch more similar things, and I think other people would to.

I love just how allergic Xi Jinping is to any kind of humility to the point his country is way worse off economically because of it

It always happens to dictators and authoritarians. Sooner or later, they start drinking their own koolaid and believing in their own hype. Unless if you're Trump, in which case, you start off that way XD.

He doesn't care about the country, he literally only cares about having ultimate power and subjugating billions of people under him. He couldn't care less if the entire nation implodes as long as he's the guy on top.

Right, China would be better off getting the opinion of 12 years old in the internet that never even been to China about how they should run their country, that's the only logical solution.

Wish you'd have talked about Tofu Dreg construction because to me, that's an even bigger problem than their debts and their real estate. Basically, recently built buildings are collapsing left and right. The Chinese people have started calling those buildings ''Tofu Dreg'' because the crumbling concrete these buildings are made of resembles Tofu. You can find plenty of videos of Chinese people just effortlessly ripping guardrails out of new buildings or bridges by slightly pushing them or destroying a concrete pillar by hitting it with a water bottle. It's not just that these new condos, houses and buildings are not being built or sold, it's that those new buildings are made of worthless concrete that no one in their right mind should live in.

I was going to roll my eyes at another "China is about to collapse" video because I've never seen your content before but for once someone on KZitem isn't trying to clickbait me. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Videos like this make me wonder how mainstream news outlets are still in business. Incredible coverage

Media's peak was so high that even if they're on the decline year over year, it's going to take decades to be phased out. As it currently stands though, the government requires a "mainstream" to exist to educate or mislead the public. They will lose way too much power if they let that informational power be held by the general populous... But realize that the "mainstream" has the budget to do proper journalism and get these numbers that YTrs have 0 chance of getting. This video couldn't have been made w/o mainstream sources. They're still a very important part of the information gathering, but have some very horrible flaws in the presentation of the information they gather.

Wow these videos are a revelation. This is the alternative to mainstream news that the millions of non-radicals in the country are craving. I won’t watch CNN, CNBC, Fox or whatever else, but this… this is entertaining, informative and, despite the regular memes and LoLz, pretty serious. Props to Atrioc for being the one to do it.

This is first time I see this dude. From the intro it almost sounded like he is in the "aggressively neutral" space (like "stop resisting it only damages country more" in certain conflict)... But he showed real problems and even gave some historical context... right until very last chapter. Only thing that connect BRICS countries is hate towards the west. Beside that they are all quite fierce competitors. Also the graph comparing G7 to BRICS compares GDP at PPP, which is really important, as they can't make everything, and whatever bought from west will be using hard dollars.

I'm Chinese, everything gonna be ok and totally under control, the China collapsing thing doesn't worry me at all, we as citizens just become poor again, not the country, China is still weathy though. But yeah life is really hard, nobody wanna be homeless, we have to work hard to pay bills and loans, by the way not all cities in China have the ridiculously high real estate price, I believe there're plenty of families are not in severe debt crisis.
