"My passion for computer science started when I was little… In the second grade I was transferred from Romania to Italy. The first thing I did when I got to the rent where my father was sitting was to turn on the computer… I sat there for a few hours I think, it seemed incredible to me what I could do on that screen 🙂
In the meantime I grew up… at the age of 13 I really enjoyed playing 18 Wheels of Steel… After a lot of hours of playing, I came up with the idea “like writing something on the trailer”, to modify the game in his files , to make my text appear.
I researched a lot on the internet and in the end, after a lot of tutorials on KZitem, I managed to get what I wanted 🙂 From here it all started… After a while I wanted more, to change colors, trucks, map ...
For 2 years I managed to change the game completely, I made the map of Romania for him, new trucks, scripts… it was practically another game… During this time I grew a community of truck game enthusiasts: RoTruckers, a huge forum that had daily over 10k visitors.
Game Modding was my passion, the school didn't interest me much, I did my homework quickly when I did them :)) and the rest I learned programming, 3d modeling, photoshop, video editing, audio editing, to create websites. all that is possible 🙂
At the age of 17, I thought of making my own game with 3d trucks, not editing others'… And I started to document myself. I didn't succeed much… it was a very difficult challenge, it seemed impossible to me to be able to make a whole game on my own. But I said that, I don't give up, that's what I like, that's what I do until it comes out! The first Android phones started to appear… but my parents couldn't afford to buy me one, so I decided to take a PC emulator and develop a 2D game, also with trucks. It was the penultimate year of high school, it was a difficult period, I was maturing, changing tastes, thoughts, I wanted to definitely return to Romania, to finish high school there. In Italy I was quite discriminated against because I was Romanian. I transferred to Romania, after many discussions with my parents. Meanwhile, the game evolved, I tested on the emulator, slowly, slowly I managed to do something. When I moved back to Romania I was able to choose between a leather jacket and an android phone. Obviously I chose the phone :))
I finished the game and uploaded it to the play store! It didn't work at all, she made less than € 1 a month… and she kept it that way for a long time. I kept improving it, until I managed to make 15-20 € per month. Even if he didn't make any money, I would have continued to do that, because my soul was richer every day, I gave him what he wanted passion, all day, all night. I went to college in Cluj, UTCN…. After the first month, the week in fact, I realized that it doesn't make any sense, I don't learn anything new, I already know everything, what sense does it make to stay? I gave up… continuing to tell everyone that I go to college But I had a plan, I gave myself 2 months to make my first 3d game, and put it on the play store. I succeeded in 3 months, 3d truck parking. Parking games were in vogue then, and there were none with trucks. I finished the game, published it and…. first day 0.07 cents :)) The next day 0.38 cents, the third day $ 7! I already felt solved with everything :))) diesel food rent… In a few days it went up exponentially… and after a month, I would have allowed myself to pay the rent for 5 years :)) I knew what I had to do with my life… to completely dedicate it to my passion… to make video games! Regardless of the money… personal satisfaction was maximum! I kept lying that I was going to college, until the last day of the second session. I wanted to make sure that the game works :)) and it worked, I was already at 3rd. Then I called my father and I said "I dropped out of college, I didn't go at all, from the beginning, only a month =)" he replied simply, "you were fooled by money". After I told my friend, she gave me the train station for the rest of the people close to me, who were all against me. Everyone influenced by this infected society, said that I am stupid and that I have to go to college, not games =) Slowly, slowly they began to understand the situation… they were also influenced by my income :)) So far I have evolved the company Ovilex together with my partner Alexandru Marusac, and we will continue to do so, creating games for consoles and PC. What I advise you with all my heart is to: FIND A THING THAT YOU COULD DO AT ANY TIME, AT ANY TIME, WITHOUT BORING YOU, FOREVER. IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO SUCCESS, BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT, FOR YOUR PLEASURE. You create a life like this, from which you don't need a vacation. Be humble and loved. ”
