Thanks for showing us these beautiful pieces of art, I never would have seen them otherwise and the imperfections makes them a hundred times better, at least to me.

Absolutely a fab collection! Yes, the belt is older than the 70's. Are you a jeweler? Some things you say the way things are made, are not the way they are usually done. You are very turquoise savvy, which is why I watch you! Thanks for sharing this beautiful collection. My condolences to the family. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Nice collection. I love collecting vintage NA jewelry especially old pieces with petrified wood from the early to mid 20th century. The concho belt is pretty nice.

Oh bro! How much for the bear? I can't believe I missed this. That turquoise bear pendant with that big ole bail is actually speaking to me right now in my ear. It's saying, "will you be my papa bear?" Oh, you just answered the question above (five hundo). So these are going to a shop in Aspen first? Hmmm. I think I could swing it. That bear is SO SICK! It would blend well with the bear claw around my neck, given to me by my bearish brother. He's Cherokee from North Carolina. Anyway, I will be in touch, but I'll wait for a reasonable hour. Not 3:07am. I am old enough to remember proper phone etiquette & manners. Those are all truly amazing pieces, with obviously skilled craftsmanship, and the turquoise is just... 😗🤌 She has impeccable taste.

@@Lilabsolue Thank you. I truly appreciate the positive thoughts. It's a long story, but I made the decision to let the next person in line have it. Still feels like I punched myself in the gut, but it turned out to be a wise decision. My daughter found herself stranded very far away, without any money. I was able to help her get home, because I didn't purchase the bear. I'm sure Dave found a great home for it. If I'm lucky enough, the bear will eventually find its way here. 🙂

Always enjoy your videos! I have a couple of questions i was hoping you could help me out with. I have turquoise earrings i was asked to do a repair on, they lost a stone... i cannot find the correct turquoise. I'm not sure if the turquoise in it was fake and that's why but i was hoping maybe you could give me a little guidance on finding out... and i also had a question about booths at the Tucson show. I know you guys rent one and i was just wondering how i go about doing that and what the price ranges are? I tried checking out the tucson show's page but i am lost, maybe i'm not ready lol. Any help you offer is greatly appreciated, thank you so much for the continued great content too :D

Hi Dave! You mentioned that you wanted to make some beads and so I was wondering if you did or would do a video on that? I have wanted to master those beads as well but the soldering trips me up every time and I have tried all the various methods. BTW how many of these pieces made it home to your house?

Yes that is what you called them - bench beads. They were beautiful and had the ridge around the circumference giving the flying saucer effect.

@@lenastiward8657 I can definitely do a video on it they have the tools that one needs to make them at Harbor freight I noticed the other day I was thinking about making a video using those harbor, freight tools and making the beads out of coins

On Black Friday I bought the Harbor Freight disc cutter and I already have the doming punches and blocks. This summer my girlfriend gave me a beautiful old vintage coin necklace made with old liberty dimes. I will send you a pic. You can still read the dates on some of the coins. The nadja (spelling?) is missing from so I was hoping to design one for it. I loved the one on the squash blossom necklace you showed in the video - a simple horseshoe style and would suit me perfectly. Her husband unfortunately put it in a tumbler with walnut shells and they got inside the beads and so it constantly is dispensing that when you handle it. Let’s make some Navajo beads!

My brother is that repousse on the belt? always tell people or ask " what's behind the bezel?" Lotta times bro the artist especially here in Santa and the area can up the prices through the stratosphere. It's the biz but yeah like you said early they really capitalize on that aspect. Best of show for either market or heard one time would probably have that belt at 2-3 times probably closer to five in gallery . Heck you ever hear of Zuni it's a new town in Japan I believe made just to have it linked to native American jewelry.

The last bear is Hopi, it is silversheet. It represents the bear clan. I have one very similar that I purchased on the Hopi reservation from a silversmith there. Pretty rare!
