Thanks! It has been a while since I shared brushes; (I made the Mypaint brush pack for Krita 5 recently, for the default); probably related to Krita 5 and new resources system. I'll see if the one I use right now are good enough to share. I tweak them bit by bit while painting, and now they are evolved derivative of my previous brush. It might worth to share the last variation of them.

Hey, David. I was wondering If krita has any timelapse function like procreate or clip Studio does... Do you know?
@DavidRevoy
3 жыл бұрын
Not right now; in the next major version , Krita 5 (still not stable/for summer) a tool will exist to take snashot of the canvas and save them regularly on disk and then make a video out of it. But so far and since 10y, you need a screenrecorder to record Krita. OBS is really good at that.

Hello, I would like to ask what kind of book to use when creating a manga, namely a manga, and not a comic book. I watched you draw a comic book, but I don't like that brush. Could you recommend brushes ? *There may be errors in the text, I apologize for this, because I am from Russia

Hi David, what exactly are you doing at 2:11? you put a desaturated low opacity orange layer over your painting and sketch under it?
@DavidRevoy
3 жыл бұрын
Hey, sorry for late reply. I put a layer over my enlarged thumbnail to give it this sepia aspect; so I have visual room to sketch. I start by eyeballing boxes; so I have an idea where my perspective vanishing point will be. Then I trace the perspective. When I have my perspective grid, I put my layer even stronger over the thumbnail to have more room to make a better drawing of the volumes.

Bonsoir! Merci.

Hi! Oh, it is a piece of paper (just regular) I scanned and contrasted. I have that on my disk, so I put it on the top of the artwork in soft-light blending mode and I erase part I want smooth. A quick way to get a grain.

Hello David, I've been using krita for over 2 years now, and even then I haven't gone into it very deeply, I really like the various types of brushstrokes for illustrations, but I wanted to know if you know Some plugin or addon to effectively clean lines in animation, like the "line" tool from the paint tool sai, or the multiarc tool from Opentoonz. Thank you very much

I want a line tool that simulates pen pressure, like a vector tool for example, but it doesn't necessarily have to be vector, the vector tools in my krita don't seem to work Correctly, I couldn't get them to simulate pressure, is there a way to do that?
@DavidRevoy
3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you for your nice words. I think you can achieve very good lines with the stabilizer ( docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/tools/freehand_brush.html ) but if you need a control at a node level; you 'll need to use vector line (they can feels a bit 'dead' ) Inkscape is a good program for vector.

@DavidRevoy

Use the New Windows , New view features in Window menu of Krita; and then target your screenrecording to capture this windows (OSB). Next Krita 5 (coming this summer) will have a feature built-in to save a picture every couple of paint stroke so after that you can make a video out of it.

Is krita free? And All the brushes and anything?😔
@DavidRevoy
2 жыл бұрын
Yes for Krita; it's a collaboratively made software managed by a Foundation (a bit like Wikipedia). For the brush; a lot of Krita artist share their brushes for free (I do that) but you'll find also commercial pack made by other artists here and there (often under a pay-what-you-want system, or behind patronage). Have fun with it :)

Thanks! Yes, I start to have difficulties to find long music released in CC-BY to produce my videos. I probably used all the things at Free Music Archive, CC-Mixter, etc... If you have another source to find better Creative Commons Attribution music, let me know, it's really an issue I have for the production of future timelapses.
