I think I've read just about Jimmy Carter wrote and appreciate him more and more.

I've already made a start on my Book Trek 2024 reads: a re-read of "Assignment: Eternity" by Greg Cox - Gary Seven and Roberta Lincoln time travel to the 23rd Century to hijack the Enterprise in order to correct an alternate timeline that was created by the assassination of Spock at Camp Khitomer, taking it deep into the heart of the Romulan Empire... I'm only 47 pages in, but I'm hooked!

I used to be a huge Star Trek fan. I mean I still am, but I really fell off years ago. Like you, I'm an original series guy, so I have a lot of books from that era, but much of the later stuff (after The Next Generation) just didn't interest me, and I lost interest (It's difficult to top The Wrath of Khan.) The new series, Strange New Worlds almost rekindled that interest, but after watching the first episode of the second season, that was dowsed pretty quickly. I'll have to give it another chance and try digging out my books (I think I got rid of a lot of them.)
