I'd like to see some videos on snow removal. I've seen some crazy contraptions myself as well as a bunch of other stuff other used by municipalities far away. My state will often hitch up trailers behind snowplows that are diagonal to the truck, so a single struck can plow an entire highway by itself. I've seen videos of other contraptions that collect snow in a large trailer and then flash melt it or mix it with seawater to melt it and then dump it into the water drainage systems.

I use a street sweeper at work regularly to clean the parking lot and dock areas of the property. As it stands I have major issues with the lack of repairability of the modern equipment I have but good grief these early sweepers look even worse unless you had your own smith and/or machine shop to make parts for repairs.

My city has a few interesting sweeper trucks, which can run both on the road and on rails to clean the tracks of the tram- and light rail system. They even have a third headlight at the top which they will turn on when running on rails (all rail vehicles running in Germany must have three headlights).

Considering that the company is in Elgin, Illinois, then maybe. However, it's that town that got it wrong. Elgin, Texas, has a hard G, as does Elgin, Scotland, seat of Thomas Bruce, 7th Earl of Elgin (1771-1841) - he of the famed "Elgin Marbles" (the sculptures controversially removed from the Parthenon and other Acropolis temples and placed in the British Museum).

@MikeV8652

@@HuggleNuts Oh, I know, and you are correct about that. However, when one town adopts a non-standard pronunciation for what is already a known name, somebody like Yukon can't be blamed for not knowing that they did. It's a different story when somebody gets it wrong out of sheer ignorance, as Elgin, Illinois, did in this case.
