You started off a little weak in the hiding amidst the foliage. But came back really strong after the second attempt. Outstanding bubba!!! I know what I can look forward to with these uniforms. I'm a former Staff Sergeant that used to be in the US Army. Thank you for this video.

The upper arm velcro patch on the side facing the sun was very prominant and gave you away. Can easily be solved with some ix material patches. The ix rocks though.

Is it just me, or dose the ix pattern look a little like a digital tiger stripe at first glance? I'm just saying because of some of the jagged parts in the pattern to me give it a bit of that tiger stripe look.

What's really weird is that on a regular screen like my tablet it blends in pretty good, but using the laptop to TV via a crappy VGA cable that mutes the "red" and green color to a blue tinge, it stands out into a near vietnam tiger stripe pattern color scheme that was able to pick out. So I wonder, how effective many of these patterns would it be with color blind people?

Nice video...thanks for posting. Interesting, but in instances when you were in shadows I could pick you out right away, but in direct sunlight it was more challenging to spot you...oh, and BTW, I am quite good at picking things out, whether it's a deviation in a pattern., or finding Waldo...kind of my personal OCD...

Looks like a “spinoff” of a tiger stripe pattern..I still stick with Pencott Badlands in an area like that and to the mid-west. It worked in many parts of the world I went to and Badlands saved my ass in ******. That part of the world.

What do you think about the PIG Gloves... are they worth the price differential over Mechanics? I have just one pair, and I like them, but I've not been able to decide if they are worth the extra price... yes I know it's off topic. :)

I like them. As for the extra price... that's subjective really. May be worth it to one person and not to the next.

How well does that shoulder mounted knife work in conjunction with your pack?
@AlphaCharlieConcepts

I haven't had any issues. It's really not my "primary" go-to knife though. It's more of a backup. My primary is usually on my belt or on the outside of my pack itself.

Brent recommended you to me for the issue I'm having. What camo pattern do you think works best for Florida?? we have dark and light green vegetation. and a good amount of brown brush and trees on land and a tons of brown/ flat dark earth reeds down south due to the lakes and Everglades.
@AlphaCharlieConcepts
7 жыл бұрын
I live in FL as well. The state as a very wide range of colors and vegetation. Best options right now, considering availability, would be (in no particular order) any of the 3 A-tacs patterns, All Terrain Tiger Stripe, or regular Multicam in my opinion. The Brookwood patterns look VERY promising but aren't widely available yet. That should change soon though.
@MeisterSexy11

Alpha-Charlie Concepts I agree completely with those choices, but what do you think of multicam tropic? I see it working well here since it's majority dark green and since the brown and tan colors come in during winter.
@AlphaCharlieConcepts
7 жыл бұрын
Multicam Tropic works ok, but it really needs a thick overhead canopy to provide a lot of shadows for it to really work well.
@MeisterSexy11
7 жыл бұрын
Alpha-Charlie Concepts can that also be said about woodland??
@AlphaCharlieConcepts
7 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Woodland works "ok". But what many people forget, or don't know, is that it was primarily intended to be used in the heavy woods of Europe where we were expecting to be taking on the Russians in the cold war. It really needs a darkish/shadowy environment to work it's best.

I am not sure to be honest. I know that heat and moisture are it’s enemies. As long as it’s kept dry and not in your trunk all summer year after year, it should last a long time. I would check with the specific manufacturer though for something concrete.

I'm still evaluating things. I don't have enough of it to say its my go-to yet. Multicam has been in that role for some time, mainly because of how much I have. I am looking at this and the Covert Woodland patterns very close though.

Ricky Meeks Not sure that I'm switching yet. I have used MC as my primary go to for some time primarily because of combination of reasons. It works well, surplus items were readily available, etc. I'm not one that thinks at MC is the end all be all and that there can't be anything better. I'm constantly in search of what works best for me in my area, situation, and uses. I'll probably do a video specifically on the subject at some point.

1. Brent is a friend of mine. 2. I started/did my first camo testing back in 2012. Brent didn't start until sometime in 2013. 3. What does it matter if we are doing some of the same thing? Is it not beneficial to see the same patterns tried in different areas/regions in different times of the year? 4. If you don't like it, piss off. Sorry, but don't be an ass. Better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt. 5. Once again, Brent is a friend of mine.
