That’s cool my man ! That you knew that you probably missed sum good music , and went back and listened to it . It’s a testament to change . I’m close to your age , and it was the opposite affect . I grew up in Denver in the 70s and we had one black radio station . So the further you got outside of Denver , the whither the music became . When my family moved to Greeley Colorado the music got super white ! 😂 We were like wtf is this ?! Very fast as a child the songs became a fixture in our lives . The Eagles , Linda Ronstad , ABBA , KISS etc ... It’s never to late . Respect my man ! 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿

And if R&B disco was the most cross overing genre because jazz, soul, lyrics, rythmic loop, melody, string, synth, respectful to singer and musicians (check the instrumental break). Once in the life time of music. Europe & US producers both in that his story

Most of the people on these music reaction videos are young and I like that the fact they are listening to and appreciating the music not only from decades before they were born but from genres they didn't grow up listening to. I'm so glad reaction videos are popular. It is encouraging people of all ages to listen outside the box.

I can't say I hated disco back then but I didn't love it. I always had a radio turned to a Pop station, even at work. So I heard the songs plenty. I think it was the sameness of the beat. Yea, there were terrific voices and some catchy lyrics but after a while, it seemed the same. My husband was really into rock (not metal) and he absolutely hated disco. That's they way the young are, you need to put on a few miles before your mind opens up to different things.
