Experience the vibrant rural lifestyle
Less than an hour drive from Fukuoka (the largest city on the island of Kyushu), in the costal western region, lies Itoshima Peninsula. Graced by rich and plentiful nature, it is known for its alluring landscape, laid-back beach scene, and gorgeous sunset.
Ranked 3rd in the January 2021 issue of THE FORECAST - the annual special issue of Monocle magazine, a London-based global affairs and lifestyle publication,* Itoshima is also known for its food, thanks to fresh seafood from the nutrient-rich waters of the Genkai-nada Sea and high-quality produce grown on fertile farmland, as well as superb local brands of beef and pork that are raised in this blessed environment.
