I thought it was quite an interesting little film. Well done

Some good footage of the village I was brought up in (I could see my bedroom in a couple of shots). I haven't lived there for 30 years, but have still visited often to see my Mum & Dad. Can't say I have any regard for Tom Hulatt after he reported me to school for stealing from his garden when we were just picking blackberries across the road which he'd obviously got his eye on. Still riles me after 40 years, and caused much distress at the time. Not a nice man in my opinion. Finally, surely you could have found someone from Tibshelf, (or at least Derbyshire) to read the poem. Nobody I know ever talked like that ! x

5:30 minutes into the video , why have we got a clip showing a train which is not going through Tibshelf. This is a Great Western engine and would not have been any where near Tibshelf.

Unfortunately archive footage does not exist of Trains passing through Tibshelf. for the purpose of the film available footage of Train s was used to illustrate, enthusiasts did point this out to me but couldn't help with archive film at the time .

Bit shocking really. £20000 for a video thats not been seen 800 times. £20000 of public money that could have payed for something for the kids todo in the village thats crying out to give the young people something. Also , why do you get the revenue and not the Village that coughed up the public cash ?

steve18B The footage of the train was copyright free, there is no footage of trains going through Tibshelf, and when I was putting the film together a shout for help to local enthusiasts was made and only photos were made available, sometimes artistic licence as to take place, on this occasion availability of the correct engines was copyrighted and the cost for the production made it unviable to use.

I'm sorry you didn't get to hear about this event, the fact that over 600 people attended the performance 15,000 watched it live on a stream world wide, it was well advertised throughout Bolsover District on there website and local papers. All schools took part in the performance so children would have been informed. The figure of £20,000 is misleading, money came from outside funding not from local parish money or council money, yes your correct that 106 monies were used.I would say that this was a very well publised event in Tibshelf i saw posters everywhere. As far as the History group are concerned they were involved from day one and supplied all the information you see in the film, infact they advertised for archive from anyone in the village .
