Would love to see more of this type of place. I wish her well in her business. 👍

This was an excellent interview of the co-owner of the property. And indeed, the Four Corners area, Chaco Canyon, the area between Taos Pueblo and the Red River petroglyphs, etc are worth the somewhat steep terrain to get around. And wineries abound along the Rio Grande up to Taos, when in season, not an excessive drive from Santa Fe, if you can leave your TIny Home parked in Santa Fe. The missus and I live in South Central New Mexico in a mountain town that overlooks Alamogordo to the West, and Roswell 75 miles east of Ruidoso. MUCH to learn in this state, both good and troubling.

Thank you! We appreciate the recommendations. There is so much to experience in NM. Sounds like you're in a beautiful area. We do plan to visit White Sands and are now in Santa Fe. :)

We found your channel today in the community Tiny House Life on Facebook. What a nice channel! The intro is pretty cool!! We loved the bunkers and the metal louvers!! We might try to use something like this on our tiny shipping container house. It's so good when we find such good ideas!

Seeing these places on your videos has gotten me antsy to finally get on the road! The trailer is nearing completion and I hope to head out in a week. I have two questions. 1: Could you state the cost of stay at these places? 2: Is the train from Durango to Ouray still running? I remember snippets of doing that when I was much younger, ca.1987.

Happy to hear it-- congrats! :) The Durango-Silverton train is still running, not sure about Ouray. This place is $45/night and $500/month. Most RV parks are 30-50/night. State parks are 15-20. Definitely check out these sites for free or low-cost camping or boondocking: FreeCampsites, Campendium and Boondocking.org. We recently spent a week boondocking in Moab for free: kzitem.info/news/bejne/wH5_15Nma4OllHY

new mexico is not called 'the land of enchantment' for nothing, is it? i was meandering across the country ~5 years ago, rolled into new mexico and, to my surprise, fell slap in love with a ~state~. been moseying around the nooks and crannies of nm ever since. 💘

So what does it cost to stay here?? A night, a week, a month??
@TinyHouseExpedition

Great question! Oops, looks like we forgot to include that. It's $500/month and $45/night. Not sure the weekly question.

What size is your tiny home? Is it smaller / shorter than most to travel so much?
@TinyHouseExpedition
5 жыл бұрын
Great question! It is built on a 20' trailer with 17.5' of house and the rest porch, and weighs 10,000 lbs. In our opinion the largest bumper pull size/weight for frequent travel.
