Cardon I cannot thank you enough for doing what you do! You have received so much hate and criticism for standing up and speaking out for our church. It disgusts me how far some people will go to discredit you from speaking the truth and sharing the Good News. You do a great job explaining concepts in a way that makes sense using plenty of facts to back up your position. I converted a year and a half ago and your videos are incredibly helpful as I learn more of the nuances about the Church. My testimony has grown by leaps and bounds and I am more sure than ever that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true restored church, that the Book of Mormon is true scripture, and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet. Keep up the great work Cardon and Ward Radio and I can't wait for your next video!

Great show guys. There should be some comfort to know that a straight marriage is platonic most of the time. And the time I spend with my wife that are non sexual are essential to a great marriage. I think everyone knows that. And just like someone who is married and has SSA, we straight people can easily have attraction for another woman. So my question is this. Is it really that different for me to stay happily married to my wife as it is for you to do the same? Cause I have to say, there are times when I believe it's not any easier for me than it is for you. The platonic love is what keeps us together, not only the sex.

For KrisMurphy: I can’t think of anything more cruel than for DAD to create a dude who is attracted to all hot females only to tell him to settle with one, and then raise a family with that one. Telling these dudes they cannot act on their instinct to dyck as many chicks as they want is so cruel!

The wards that I've been a member of, LGBT and black people have never been discriminated against. I've seen a gay guy talk as a guest at a local Stake Confrence and there is always a black woman invited to speak. This is the thing that annoys me with John Dehlin, Bill Reel, RFM etc. In their recent episode called 'draining the swamp of apologetics' ( they mentioned most of us, including me, which is a first) Bill Reel said that he doesn't claim to speak for God (unlike LDS Prophets) but he and they do claim to speak a truth and reality that applies to everybody...well, it doesn't. The Mormon Stories type of episodes that feature LGBT abuse in the church are either over the top or just that person's experience. Again, that's not been all our experience. I've had what could be called 'a dirty look' by black members for being white. My Bisphoprhic and Stake Presidency, you couldn't get more nicer people in the world, if anything, they are too nice and soft...(I've edited on this part but if I did ever feel discriminated against, me personally, that's my issue, I have no proof of that, I am not certain, 100%, I haven't asked anybody, so I could be wrong, I'm not a mind reader...}

I’ve never felt any discrimination in church, except when I say I’m a free speech absolutist or that there are Absolute Truths in the gospel and anyone trying to diminish them are not on God’s side. lol. But honestly, the only time I’ve ever felt judged for something as low IQ as the color of my skin was by a few black members. Sad. I’ve never judged anyone by their physical appearances in my life at church. Anyway, the anti-ex-LDS are definitely guilty of blowing things WAY out of proportion. I’m so glad that the number of faithful and active members getting online and defending the restored gospel are growing, the anti-ex-lds predators are no longer running around unfettered. They might have had a ten to fifteen year head start, but it’s over.

@imawordgirl thanks for asking politely. Here are a few: Slippery slope fallacy: Jeff suggests that if you leave the church you then will have no Jesus or holy Ghost in your life. However nothing can separate us from his love. He and thr Spirit can always be in our lives. Jeff pretends to know why people critique him. "They can't handle me succeeding at it." I ask succeeding at what? I don't think it's success. He is vague and uses ad hominem. He again falls Subject to ad hominem when he says that both Wayne and John Dehlin are horrible beings. Jeff doesn't provide examples like you've asked of me of timed John has lied. Even if someone has been wrong, doesn't mean they always are.
@_Lachoneus
3 ай бұрын
John Dehlin has been caught lying (or at least presenting false info either knowingly or unknowingly) many times. That's not Ad hominem. And saying John Dehlin is a bad person is only ad hominem if attaching it to an attack of his argument. I think John Dehlin is creepy, but that's just an opinion until I try to disagree with one of his claims.
@imawordgirl
3 ай бұрын
@@komicsanz3022 Jeff never said people who leave the Church will have "no Jesus or Holy Ghost." Nor did he say Wayne and John Dehlin are horrible beings. If you can prove otherwise, please include quotes with timestamps. John Dehlin certainly has engaged in horrible *behavior* - like misrepresenting data, having at least one extramarital affair, and treating female employees and associates badly enough that a group of them wrote a letter disavowing him. And regarding Jeff succeeding--I think most people who know about him know he's talking about remaining faithful in the Church, having a loving marriage to a woman, being a dad, and having a rich and meaningful life. Sounds like success to me.

That is exactly the argument that the enemy to us all makes, “God said to be perfect. Why aren’t you perfect yet? YOU never will be perfect: may as well just give up and give in to your temptations.” Meanwhile, Jesus tells us that we have weaknesses, and things that tempt us, so that we’ll be humble. His Grace is sufficient for all that humble themselves before him: he will make weak things become strong unto them.
