Beautiful sweaters and kofter, but I love the barn kofte! It's so pretty. A little side note. I know a lot of people call stranded knitting for fair isle knitting, but as you know it's two different things as fair isle is a type of patterning and stranded knitting is when you knit with two or more colours. Maybe a tip for an episode - the difference between fair isle and stranded knitting ;)

Carlos, I would love to know how to piece together several sweaters to make one. A pattern and tutorial would be so helpful, even if you attach one or two pieces in the tutorial. I have some old sweaters that need repairs and I love them all, so just to take them apart and combine them to make one OMG would really be awesome. I think when you mentioned the pattern everyone wanted pattern to knit, but I totally understood what you were talking about getting a patter to puzzle it together. Please do a tutorial. How to cut, tear apart, I have no clue how to even start and I am sure that all of your viewers would agree with me to get a tutorial out. Thanks a million. I love you guys. I tell my husband he is just like Arne and I am more like you. What's that saying "opposites attract". We have been together 40 years, so I totally agree that it is so true opposites attract. I love you guys. Carlos, I think you said you were from Brazil if I am not mistaken, I would love to hear about your culture, fashion and old wives tales. I am Hispanic and OMG, some of the wives tales we grew up with were amazing and worked. I love hearing about Arne, I love that he kept all of these sweaters since 1900's, I don't think I have anything passed down from my ancestors. It is amazing. Love Love seeing you guys. Thanks Linda V.

I noticed the black/white asymetrical pattern sweater - actually the scarf the first time Arne wore it sitting in a yarn shop talking I think. I looked high and low for the pattern. I don't completely agree with you Carlos, that it's pointless to knit that sweater - or at least the variety of patterns in your own arrangement. I think you could provide the patterns for handknitters who are creative enough to surprise you with their color combinations and arrangements of the designs. Knitting blocks would be a good introduction to Fair Isle knitting for those who LOVE that, I often steek and cut pieces as a swatch - to get correct gauge for knitting in the round . They aren't coordinated tho, so I don't have a sweaters worth. So maybe a series of patterns as a challenge? PLEEEEEEEEAAAAAASSSE? I could see the back in two panel pieces and the front in 3 and then seamed, or use a purl stitch between panels to imitate a break. The only thing I don't have a source for and couldn't wing it with is the gazelle which is JUST so unexpected and totally cool. Thanks for giving us all a glimpse of your home and world - and I'm glad you left the high end of design for the craft market. Long may you run.

I think the green is fun. In winter everything is SO drab - a shot of hideous unrelated color can be a nice pick me up. Color reads so differently by season or location. I bought LIME green linen slacks in California that looked like they were wired in when I wore them here in Missouri. Out there the sun is so bright I thought they were okay. NOT.

Greetings from Alameda, California, where we just had some crazy hail, but never have snow! I love your videos, Arne and Carlos! The production quality is excellent, and you two are very charming. I just went looking for the cardigan/jacket inspired by the one in this video--and I finally found one. I almost don't want to say it, because I want other people to find it too. So I will just say that you two are making something in the garden, and Carlos is wearing that jacket, and Arne is wearing a blue, red, and white cardigan. Carlos' jacket is very much like the one you showed in this video, but the big motifs are replaced with something cuter. Now, it's time for me to sit down with a cup of coffee and work on my own cardigan, while watching some more of your videos. :)

I love the design of the last sweater on the dummie....the fitted waist and the wide lower ribbing is nicely balanced by the neck....while the color of green is very bright it clashes with the other colors.... perhaps at the time the. Knitter was unable to find a selection of wool in their local community....perhaps it’s the lower garment that one would wear that could adjust the eye to the green?
