Mix some chicken manure and mulch and after few weeks then put in the sandy soil my friend happy gardening and thanking for sharing your garden with your family gardening too cheers and God bless… Pepe

Hello Sarah, a fan from Kenya. That is not impatiens, looks like it though. It actually is Madagascar Periwinkle or Cape Periwinkle or Catharanthus roseus. It is a source of anti cancer medicine (chemotherapy) called Vincristine.

I absolutely love permaculture gardening. Your dad has a great garden and a beautiful variety. Sarah did you say that you started mulberry plants from seeds. Most people plant mulberries from cuttings. I have season I've never seen them grown from seeds before

Banana flower can be used in place of cabbage, soak it in salty water and cook it as you would cabbage or minced meat
