This is honestly the best produced video about wastewater treatment plants on KZitem. Nicely done and thank you.

To clean the membrane, do the have to use chemical like hypochlorite citric acid? I understand the back wash helps but your trans membrane pressure (TMP’s) have to get high. Just wondering how you guys clean them. Membrane filtration is the way of the future I think. Great video guys A+ rating!!! Five start out of five!

All cities before the 1940s dumped their raw sewage into rivers In 1983, the town I moved to had wells in yards and outhouses, not just on the farms, but in the city as well The last year the outhouses were still in use was 1989

Hi try to discover also the WWTP in Sulaibiya Kuwait . After the 9 huge clarifiers we treat thru DF, UF then RO . The biggest in the world with half capacity of 360 K per day. The source are all waste water fron whole Kuwait. We installed 23K US Torray membranes n 18 K UF membranes.Personally supervised Huge disc filters treating after clarifiers. The DF , UF ,RO n 2 huge concrete tanks , with complete chemical plants were installed by Ionics Italba n bought by GE n was lately bought by Suez.(2015). I was one of the pioneer along with italian group though i am FILIPINO. just retired last 2015.

Until the late 90s, most towns across the country had the old sewer system that dumped most of sewage into the rivers My town didn't put in new pipes till the early 2000s and there is still about 20% of the city that still dumps right into the rivers

Do your storm sewers also lead the water through the treatment plant? Here in Calgary, ours all go straight to the rivers! Street salt, antifreeze oil, you name it! Absurd to say the least, and our catch basins are being used as dog poop dumps as I have often witnessed!

A well done explanation of waste water treatment. Having Pat Cashman involved added a touch of humor to an otherwise shitty subject. 🤣

You should use the heat from the combustion of methane to run the pant.

The methane being burned smells worse than the sewage
@agems56
10 ай бұрын
It's not just the smell that's worse! Methane is also 22 or more times worse than carbon dioxide greenhouse gas! So who is really to blame? Fossil fuels, or almost 9 billion of us people creating all this methane into the atmosphere! Think about it!
