Thank you! I love this movie. You have reminded me to view it again. I never get tired or bored with Veidt, he is so beautiful. Look at his eyes? Ever see eyes like that? His beautiful accent; everything about him and of course, the fact that he was so caring.

Magnificent video! I love the music. It has a very majestic feel to it. He still has all the power of his silent film days!

Conrad Veidt at his deliciously evil best. Absolutely first-class baddie.

When the villain is THAT much more fascinating than the hero, your movie might have a problem! Perhaps this is why the Disney “Aladdin” animators chose to create a far less attractive Jaffar.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a Malificent-like film, where it turns out he isn't that evil after all.🤔( But where to find someone who is as great as Conrad Veidt)

@Madam Vaudelune I wanted to thank you for your help before, but the other page wouldn't let me add a reply. I didn't want to appear rude and not thank you. I think that clip at the two minute mark was from Hitchcock episode "Cream Of The Jest". About a washed up actor. As I said, I've seen all his films except that 1960's Italian space flick. Thanks again.

@@lottiefairfax1205 You are very welcome! There is a speech very like thay one in the Hitchcock episode. To watch everything professor Rains acted in would be a lifetime's work and KP is the most authoritative scholar I know. However, others have different trivia that is still pretty cool. Did you know that CR, Basil Rathbone and Ronald Coleman served in the same regiment in WW1? Sad to think of these brautiful gentlemen in the muck and the horror of trench warfare. Rains rose to the rank of captain.

This is spectacular and so appropriate for a debut on Conrad Veidt's birthday. I hope that you will be able to make more of these. I'd love to see your editing skill applied to a film such as The Indian Tomb (1921) or Under the Red Robe (1937) as well. Thank you so much for making this video.
