He was one of the best singer/songwriters from the eighties era. Very well spoken Jörgen. I will never forget the airplay that these guys got on terrestrial radio. Mark's voice was always so distinctive. I loved it from the first album on. Way to go Brother J. I could tell by this video how much you appreciated his songwriting and the band~ Rob/Boston

nice tribute from you Jorgen. The Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock is my Talk Talk favorites, as you said non synth pop and ambient.

Hi Steve, thanks, it felt good to do it. "Spirit of Eden" is still a good album to me, even if i prefer the more synthoriented albums in first hand. Thanks for watching and take care! :)

I'll have to re-investigate Talk Talk after all the tribute posts I've been seeing. I think I wrote them off as just another 80's pop band and all I have in my collection now is The Party's Over album. I sort of think I may have had more at some point but it might have fallen victim to some collection downsizing. I seem to recall listening to that one and thinking it too iconic an 80's song to let go - and who was saying something like that in the early 80's anyway when it seemed the New Wave, synth pop party was in full swing. Intriguing. Nice tribute, cheers!

Hi Doug, i'm sorry, i must completely have missed this comment. I feel like Talk Talk was a bit in the shadow of the more commercial 80s bands (OMD, Depeche, Ultravox etc), but at the same time they were very unique. "The party's over" is a really great album! Thanks for watching and take care! :)
