Steve was in the Night Gallery classic "The Waiting Room," along with Buddy Ebsen, Albert Salmi, Jim Davis, Gilbert Roland, and Lex Barker. That was a flawless cast.

Steve played against type and was a wonderful villian. He exuded menace as Mannon in Gunsmoke. Handsome and by all accounts a great guy.

Nice. He was my great uncle, I remember how nice he and my aunt were to us when my Dad would take us to swim at his house back in the 60's. My aunt Chris would let me rake their orange shag carpet.

Steve Forrest was the younger brother of Dana Andrews by 16 years. Steve was the youngest of 13 children. When you look at him, you can sometime see a resemblance to Dana Andrews as well. A little side bar trivia, Dana Andrews was also a trained operatic singer. If you see the 1940's version of State Fair, you can see Dana Andrews singing. I too admired the works of Steve Forrest, especially the Baron. I hated his character Wes Parmalee on Dallas. Amazing thing for Hollywood, married to his wife for 65 years.

The only man to outdraw Marshal Dillon. Outside the very first episode that is, when Dan Grat made his mark. "Mannon', which guest starred Steve, was my favorite Gunsmoke episode.

Whenever the topic of "hollywood marriages" came up, I would mention Steve's marriage of 60+ years as an example for people like the Kardashians to follow. Steve was a class act. He will be missed.
