There I was, driving across Indiana. Google Maps had redirected me on some smaller roads to avoid traffic. I found myself driving behind an Amish horse and buggy. It triggered some childhood memories from growing up near Nappanee. A moment later I suddenly realized, “Hey, I think I recognize that building!” Sure enough, it was the little store where I used to turn in soda bottles that I’d gathered from the neighborhood in my little red wagon. I’d exchange the bottles for change (5 cents each I think) and buy candy. I had already passed it, but decided to turn around and take a drive through the old neighborhood.
