Hello Anna. That view at the beginning of the video at your hotel was like being in paradise - blue skies, crystal clear ocean, palm trees. Wonderful. Miyako Island is a lovely place to visit from all accounts. The restaurant you had lunch must be a popular place if there was line of people waiting to get in. No idea what a dragon fruit is but the smoothie with it's deep purple color looks so delicious. Take care of yourself and have a fantastic weekend.

I love good beaches where I can walk along the surf and have it go between my toes, the feeling of “melting” sand and water lapping my ankles always relaxes me.

This island reminds me a lot Key West Florida! The seven mile bridge (almost 11km) feels like you are driving in the ocean! The only thing I don't like about places like this is that it's impossible to not get sand in everything 🙃 Thanks for taking us with you😊

Miyako is a beautiful island! I plan on visiting, a short 50 minute flight from my home in Okinawa. O also am planning on trips to smaller islands such as Minami daito and Yoniguni islands. Have a great day!

Anna, That was really beautiful, I really enjoyed it. The archway entrance is spectacular from both directions. The great expanse of ocean and sky, awe inspiring. Your breath must have always been taken away! Hee Hee! Did you fly there first and then drive between islands? Trips like this must think like you have the best job in the world! Even the cat thought so, and was waiting tp bring you luck!! It will be interesting to see the interior of the resort. The views from any room would probably be amazing. It seemed to be a beautiful place to experience and I'm glad you had the opportunity to do so!🥰! I think it was your channel's anniversary March 26th! Congratulations for bringing all this valuable information forward and for the numbers of keen followers that will keep growing! Have you heard from many of them over the year who have come to Japan, stayed at the places you reviewed and seconded your positive experience there? Well, I should go! Cheers! Take Care and Keep Well!

very pretty island. the water is beautiful. I looked up the history of Miyako-jima. During the invasion of Okinawa, in 1945 during World War 2, there was a small airfield located on Miyako-jima, in which multiple Japanese pilots flew Kamikaze attacks on the American fleet. One managed to hit the US destroyer Callahan, killing 47 American sailors. Apparently there is still a monument honoring the Kamikaze pilots there in Miyakojima City. Did you come across that monument when you visited there?
