What about putting a liner inside the tank? Necessary or not? If you do find some leaks, what corrective measure would you recommend? Thanks

am thinking of having an underground tank to harvest flood water to use for irrigation. Please help me with additional ideas about flood water harvesting...can it be done on water towers? has anyone done such an underground water tank in the backyard? how much did it cost?

Why do you wait 7 days? Sediment to sette?

to see if the water level goes down, if it does then there is a leak.

I admit I am not an engineer however, one concern I have is that by storing the water underground a community would have to pump the water up, adding cost. Rather than a water tower, on a hill, or someplace high, by placing the tank underground gravity is no longer your friend. Be a friend to gravity and save money.

@Michael Conner most of the times, you do need a water pump to send the water up to the water towers. The cases that a spring is so powerful to be able to supply enough water to fill a raised water tank (tower) are very few.

Even when water is stored in towers, there is a need to keep (Booster) pumps running to maintain a desired system pressure. Gravity alone is not enough.

It is also hard to pump ice.

Michael Conner You still have to pump the water up to tank

How do you remove the forms from the inside after the top is set?
@dimitrismoures

@TyrioDies i built a little tank like this together with my father 30+ years ago. You just make sure any piece of timber you use is smaller than the hatch you leave on the top a bit like a manhole on the ceiling of an average house

Appreciate Video clip! Forgive me for butting in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Proutklarton Protecting Aqua Plan (do a search on google)? It is a good exclusive guide for getting prepared for a mega drought minus the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my friend got great success with it.

Great Video! Forgive me for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you considered - Proutklarton Protecting Aqua Plan (just google it)? It is a good one off product for getting prepared for a mega drought without the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my old buddy Taylor got astronomical success with it.

Thanks for the Video! Sorry for chiming in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Proutklarton Surviving Technics Plan (search on google)? It is an awesome one off guide for learning how to survive any crisis minus the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my cooworker finally got astronomical results with it.

You don't need to remove forms if you use precast methods
