A Bible verse that the New Testament authors altered! In this detective-style Bible study, we look at Mark 1:3 which quotes a famous verse from Isaiah 40:3. However, if you look up that verse in the Old Testament, Mark changed part of the verse! Why? What if Mark was trying to make a specific point about Jesus? It seems Mark may have been trying to get us to link a BIG idea with Jesus. It's not that Mark "changed" the story; he already saw this idea in the Old Testament and may have been trying to help his readers see this link too.... and it could be a major clue to Jesus' deity. Some viewed what Mark did here as heresy but for others it would bring clarity to the consistent message of the Old Testament. Check it out in this video!
