Wow! Didn't know that was you back in the "Gospel" concert with James Cleveland. Still have that one on vhs. Who was that drummer that got his sticks taken away by James?? This was amazing! Thanks for sharing a part of your legacy. Definitely an encouragement!

Wow wow wow ! There is so much to say. But first thank you very much for sharing this. Beyond gift, I can't even imagine the number of hours of work, rehearsals, musical and life experiences. I have enjoyed every second of this vid. So many different basses in your hands (Music Man/ Tobias / K Smit / even Fender Mexico?) but in the hand ... whatever ... musicality & groove were never sacrificed and the result is still there. So many things to probably learn from your this extensive icareer. Now awaiting the DVD showing the whole career and stories ;)) Hats off Mister Gouché !!!

You were the main reason I started to play bass, think the first time I heard you was listening to the Look up & Live album with 'I'll tell it' by the New Jersey Mass Choir. I remember looking at the sleeve of records & tapes in my local christian book shop in the UK, to check if you were the bass player. If you were on it I'm definitely buying the album ... lol Memories... memories

A very beautiful snapshot of you musical journey over the years. To get to a very high level is difficult...to improve after being at a high level with the distractions of family, travelling, recording.is a monumental task! ."Life is what happens when you're busy planning"-John Lennon. Just amazing how I never hear any of the bass cliches in your playing aka the "marcus/Jaco/Wooten" phrases.

Memory lane like a mug! You and Joel were always my biggest influences on even wanting to pick up a bass. This was awesome! I'd love to know the basses you played on the albums I grew up listening to. I noticed years ago the Music Man, Tobias and of course Fender and lately MTD but was that a Yamie I saw in there? What else?
