Two more castles and Poppy will qualify as a History professor.

Thank you for taking us on a tour of Baconsthorpe Castle. It is so sad to it in ruins, if only we could go back in time and see to see it when it was built and lived in. Poppy is your own personal tour guide.

We went to this castle in 2011. So lovely to feel like we were there again. Always a pleasure to watch Poppy exploring, just like our little Hermione used to. 🐾🐾 Your choice of music is very in keeping.. it made me think of the Genesis track, “Entangled” very calming. If you are still in the area, Binham Priory is also worth a look, it is English Heritage. 👍🏻

Haha, you two must have fun with your different English accents. I love our differences. I’m from Surrey, so I say “carsell”, like Jenny. Always enjoy your vids.

I was originally from Lancashire. My accent changed when I moved down south at the age of 14. I'm conscious that now back up north, people say Casul not Carsell.

It's certainly off the beaten track. Not that far away from were we live. Only went there last year for the first time. Some lovely walks around the area.

Those access roads look a tad narrow, good job you had the Up! I can lend you a Defender for the rough bits. It's funny how dogs rule our lives, Poppy loves castles and ruins and hence the tours. Ours love water so it's lakes, rivers and the seaside for us. You mentioned steeping the wool in stale urine, isn't that where the expression "Taking the P" comes from? Which would you reccomend joining as a fellow pensioner, English Heritage or National Trust, perhaps I join one and the wife joins the other. The walk looked lovely another reccomendation of yours to put on the to do list, shame it wasn't circular. Lovely coverage Bob you should think about offering them to the BFI for their archives? Guy.

Thanks, makes more sence to join both, you'd still need to pay for someone to get in, whichever you go to. English Heritage tends to have the ruins and NT the stately hones.
