On 12-1-17, I was able to attend a meeting at the Olympic Model Railroad Society in Olympia, Washington. The club is located in the basement of a building on the Thurston County Fairgrounds that was originally built in 1941. They have a pretty decent sized layout at the club, and I was able to bring along two of my engines to run on it. My two engines are the US Army GP10 and the Allegheny Midland SD40-2. Both engines are from Intermountain and are equipped with ESU Loksound decoders. The layout has two decks with spiral helixes connecting the two levels at each end. It was great to finally get a chance to run some of my trains on a real layout instead of on my bedroom floor.
