Our final video from the visit to Wren Cottage sees us take a walk at Brimham Rocks, a glorious rocky moorland landscape overlooking Nidderdale in North Yorkshire. Later after crossing the moors we pause in Masham and visit the Parish Church of St Mary. The site has been used as a place of Christian worship for over 1400 years and contains some Anglo-Saxon stonework in its Norman/Medieval structure. Just outside Masham a short walk takes us to the Druids Temple. This folly was built at the instruction of a local landowner to provide work for local labourers at a time of agricultural depression. Our final visit of the day is to the Wensleydale town of Hawes. We stop off for some of Wensleydales famous cheese at the Creamery before descending into town and a refreshing pint in the company of characters from the Wallace and Gromitt films which had been knitted by local residents. A fun end to the day.
