The Fathala Reserve is an animal nature reserve located in southern Senegal, in the Fatick region, between Toubacouta and the border with Gambia1. Open to tourism over 2,000 hectares, it is part of the classified forest of Fathala (11,800 hectares)2, which corresponds to the terrestrial part of the Saloum delta national park3. The proposal for the inscription of the Saloum delta on the World Heritage List includes the area of the Fathala forest
