It's on par with The Doctor's war monologs from the Zygon inversion The Doctor: Because it's not a game, Kate. This is a scale model of war. Every war ever fought right there in front of you. Because it's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know who's children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken! How many lives shattered! How much blood will spill until everybody does what they're always going to have to do from the very beginning -- sit down and talk! Listen to me, listen. I just -- I just want you to think. Do you know what thinking is? It's just a fancy word for changing your mind

@@mk_gamíng0609 I live in the Wisconsin countryside. As rural as one can imagine. It won't be a South vs North conflict. More than anything it will be a heavily armed agrarian uprising against the disarmed city and what federalist forces do not defect or commit mutiny within our armed forces. A lot of people, especially foreigners, underestimate just how heavily armed the countryside is. Rough estimate put the domestic, private ownership of firearms at a rate of 50% of ALL households across the nation, increasing to 70% of ALL households in the countryside. The average number of firearms per household is estimated to be 7. It is likely 2 or 3 higher than that. Hell, the rifle I own, an American reproduction of the German G3A3, hits harder than the Army's new 6.5mm Spear platform, which isn't likely to be fielded en mass anyways, much like the new, upcoming .338 caliber rifles and light machine guns. Meanwhile "three-D" pr1nt1ng is becoming so advanced people are now producing multiple-use rocket launchers in their homes, as well as the rockets for them. (Wild Arms R&D) The average rural American has every method with which to fight tooth & claw against our standing military and stand a fair chance of winning because the US military would lose its primary advantages that allow us to succeed abroad: a secure logistical chain. Even then the military is legally barred from operating on American land due to the Posse Comitatus. The national guard would likely be more prevalent, and they aren't known for being highly motivated, well-trained, or well-equipped.

My only disagreement is in the beginning where you talk about the “weekend activist”, protesting against the smallest inconvenience. Yes, rebellion is sacred and can be deadly serious, but people need to find those things that they truly believe in and are passionate about, and stand up for them. Whatever they are. Because lethargy, laziness, and complacency, are the things that allow evil things like dictatorships (and the Empire) to start in the first place and then flourish. Family is about values. I would never "disown" anyone for varying beliefs but the issues of the times are not trivial. True many/most politicians are just playing a sport of red vs blue, however the actual issues of our generation are deadly serious. Regardless of blood some people are pushing for a world and society that is vastly different than the one I want to live in and they operate and behave currently in ways that I can't excuse. For me that's fine because I'm not an authoritarian and everyone doesn't have to do what I want, but I also don't have to associate with them. Blood is coincidence, values are real.

Older than the Bad Batch seems to be given and younger than Boba Fett seems highly likely but other than "doesn't have accelerated aging" we don't know how old she could be. A big part of how naive/childlike she acts can be chalked up to social isolation by the Caminoans. Omega could be A LOT older than she let's on.

I get what you mean by saying: be careful what you wish for. When you tear something down without understanding what purpose it serves, it can invite disaster. You need to build something to replace it rather than just destroy it and hope it rebuilds on its own (as that won't happen, and once it's gone it's gone, and you and your children will have to live with the consequences). However, it's a bit of a stretch to conflate protesting with actual rebellion. Also if your government genuinely sucks and is flagrantly disregarding the will of the people (which spoiler alert, it is in the west) then it should be replaced. Why should we unquestioningly follow our leaders off of the edge of the cliff when they hate us and implement hairbrained self-serving schemes at our expense? Because venturing into the unknown is supposedly more scary than lying down and taking the abuse, as at least it's the devil you know? (Tell that to a battered housewife). Because we want to be "nice" and not upset people? Come on. Edit: I do however agree that politics is cringe and really isn't worth losing friends over. It's arguably the worst part about democracy, that it deliberately attempts to divide the population and pit them against each other, and the people in power are incentivised to fuel this divide and run constant psy-ops against everyone all the time. If you don't believe me, read up on Edward Bernays, who is the father of modern advertising. Everyone uses these techniques. Now there's a Goebbels on every street corner.

As much as I would love to support your message but sadly you forget that plenty of families are rooted in violence, wrong beliefs, ignorance, selfishness, psychic disorders or toxic behaviours. Familiy never is the answer all by itself. Only good and nuturing families that are born throughout mutual respect, understanding and support are. But sadly in our world where not even the concepts of respect and love are lived anymore this concept of the family as a nuturing and supporting place becomes less and less known and lived. I feel that you forget about this point in your video. In order family to be a strenght it also needs to be rooted in the right mindset of mutual respect, conditionless accepting and love.

One trope that's always frustrated me with Hollywood is that the hero can't have any good personal relationships. I'm sure part of it is to give the hero another challenge. But I don't care. While I agree with what you are saying about the Disney+ version of The Bad Batch, and it has proven to be a very powerful show, I cannot help but wonder if getting that show about the "original" Bad Batch going out and just doing what they do best, would have been so bad? The world is a dark, scary and complicated place, so relaxing with Hunter, Tech, Crosshair, Echo and Wrecker just being those no-nonsense, stand-offish Clone Force 99, would have been welcome too. Entertaiment for the sake of entertainment, relaxation and fun would be a welcome release.

This video helped clarify a conclusion I came to several years ago: Family is everything. Family must be protected above all else. God and country are all well and good, but without family, we are drifting in a sea of chaos

I wholeheartedly agree, what ever side you're on in modern politics hating the other groups is counter productive and short sited. As anyone in a long term relationship can tell you it's not about winning the fight, it's about living with each other after. Calling someone a communist or white supremacist might sound like a great way to anger and put people off but they are just gonna dig in there heels and not like you afterwords. We are a family even if we are very dysfunctional right now and we need to start treating each other like we are gonna be able to forgive each other and live together.

This video is basically the entire problem. The dismissive nature of the speech regarding any issue you don’t personally understand (“going out to protest for ANY reason”) shows you are unable to imagine the actual issue from the perspective of those affected. How about you understand that a good number of us are currently pushed beyond a breaking point before you try to wrangle a hug box? Politics is not entertainment to those of us CURRENTLY, formerly, or about to be condemned by it. It’s a show to YOU, who doesn’t have to care and can laugh at those who go out and try to have a better life.

Agree 100% and I can’t even tell if you’re on “my side” but I don’t care.

Speaking of Andor and the Empire's true evil nature, if one thinks Gorst is just sadistic, well he's worse than just sadistic: he’s indifferent. If anything, he’s proud of his tools - they don’t cause any physical damage, they don’t leave marks. In his mind, it’s a more humane way of extracting information than tying someone to a chair and beating them to a pulp. Other than that, he doesn’t really seem to care. It’s another day at the office, he’s just here to do his work and go home at the end of the day. That’s the true evil of the Empire - the indifference and banality of the system that allows people like him to exist. He’s not a serial killer torturing little animals. He’s a scientist experimenting on who he sees as lab rats. He’s very believable as a type of engineer/scientist that doesn’t have very well-developed social skills, lacks empathy and is easily led to do something incredibly horrific without thinking about the consequences.
