These were sold in Europe till about 2 years ago. They had a 4.5L V8 Diesel. The price was about 100.000 Euro. But after Dieselgate, the EU made emission regulations more strict, and the LC just didn't match them any more, so they stopped selling them. The smaller 150 series or the Prado is the LC in Europe with a newly developed 2.8L inline 4 Diesel. It's also an overbuilt 4x4 just a tad smaller. You gotta love the LC, I would prefer the 200, but the 150 is just as awesome.

test drive the 2019 Toyota Sequoia Platinum. It's bigger than the Land Cruiser and It doesn't have too many unnecessary features that could break overtime, It's a solid SUV because of it's reliability, comfort, space and cheaper than the Land Cruiser. Only downside I could think of Is the dated design of the car (But honestly I love how simple yet elegant the vehicle looks instead of it being over-styled like many cars suffer today) and bad MPG it gets.

I think in your highlights you missed the most important part and the reason why this SUV doesn't have any airbags and cool tech. This car is designed to be driven in the outback and mid offroad with comfort and security. The difference between the Cadillac or any other big American and British SUVs is that this car is "third-world-country" proof. It can hold the abuse of shit roads, nothing you will find in a US city. This comes from a guy from Costa Rica, Land Cruiser is the only real choice for wealthy people that want a car that won't break, take you anywhere and be fixed with ease if you manage to somehow break it .

Al Faatih European yellow color...American red color
@mrsluigi9478
5 жыл бұрын
Al Faatih in American regulations, you are allowed to use the red brake lights also as your turn signals. That can lead to some bad situations if a light goes out or you have them blinking for a hazard, having to blink for a turn and a brake. In Europe, cars are required to have a set of red brake lights and another set of orange blinker lights which comes with much more convenience.
@texfotomoto
5 жыл бұрын
The narrator doesn’t mean colour of turn signals. Notice he tapped the turn signal lever multiple times at 12:26. Euro turn signals allow you to lightly push the turn signal lever which allows it to blink 3 times and cancel automatically. Useful for lane changes and roundabouts.

rubiks15 because it has the exact same engine offered in the land cruiser, a bit bigger, and looks uglier imo but still much cheaper than the LC200 and it doesn’t have the off-road capability so if you’re someone who doesn’t give a shit about off-roading get the Sequoia but if you don’t care about the price difference might as well get the LC for better resale value as well .
@user-zm7de9fc9x

rubiks15 that’s a great deal you got there on an amazing vehicle but what turns me off on getting these types of SUVs or what some call them luxury trucks is the terrible MPG they get, saying that I’m currently still young and not working basically still in college but until then I will start understanding the value of money more etc.. I’m just hoping in the future they make these amazing vehicles more economy friendly, basically make the option for those who want a smaller engine which gets good MPG and maybe even try to reduce the weight of these trucks.
