A detailed description of equipment and software will be very much appreciated. Zach is one of a kind.

This was GENIUS. Fantastic approach to midi triggering abs programming. As a drummer and synth nerd this was perfect.

I've seen Zach perform live multiple times in LA, it's a mind blown creative process well worth watching this dude go bonkers.
Brilliant - and at 6 years ago now, I’d love to know how his rig has evolved to current set up. I wonder if he’s done another one of these where he describes the details. Zack is just brilliant.

Does anyone know how he's triggering the 8 chord progression at 6:01 ? Whatever chord he's on in the cycle seems to also set the chord for the other arpeggiated sounds he's triggering from the cymbal stacks. I'm trying to think of how he's doing this in ableton. Currently, I'll use the Random midi effect on a drum rack of various sounds or on an instrument rack.

most likely Ableton sending midi out via a max patch to software like touch designer or processing.
