Finally a positive testimonial of Fayetteville North Carolina, I'm one of the many transplants from the mid west and I love this city.

Great showcase of my hometown. I have lived here for 50 yrs and Fayetteville has a made a lot of progress in the development of our downtown and surrounding areas. Esse Quam Videri "To be, rather than to seem"

Dragon Manifest I’m from Baltimore and moved here when I was young the ghettos here might look different but have the same types of people at my college we had 4 to 5 shooting within less then a year we also have assaults both sexual and physical don’t let Fayetteville fool you also the homeless population here is extremely high for such a small city. We have meth house explosions and people sell drugs on every corner and if you don’t see it you must be blind. And there a very few activities here if you want to do anything you have to go to Raleigh or Charlotte which is pretty far away. and if you think downtown is a good option think again people in Fayetteville barely support our small businesses they go out of business within a year or two. Worst part about downtown is how racist the people are my friends and I are black women and can’t go anywhere in Fayetteville with out experiencing racism in the city it is way better don’t come to Fayetteville as soon as I’m done school I’m leaving. With out the military base this place would be nothing and everyone knows it 😒

A weekend in the armpit of NC. I have lived all over NC. All the big cities in NC. I’ve lived in little country towns too, like chadbourn, tabor city, and Sanford. Fayetteville is a horrible place to live.

I grew up in Fayetteville. I moved over 30 years ago and never looked back. Horrible, crime ridden city. Hate it every time we go back to visit family. The crime element is even worse now. Tearing down Hay street and rebuilding did not help. Still a violent and crime ridden city.

I stopped by this town for a few minutes to use a restroom at McDonalds one night. When I went inside a guy pulled up in a van. Soon after he began walking around the parking lot. I came out and he walked up to me and told me his vehicle had broken down somewhere down the road and he needed money. I was only here a few minutes and had a guy trying to scam me. Talked to friends in North Carolina and they told me that Fayetteville is a dangerous town. I don't recommend going here.

I’m considering moving there, and I was just wondering. Having something that represents black heritage and culture in a positive way is important to me. Just like you would want your children to be proud of where they live and be able to relate, I would like the same. Not race baiting... which I had to Google, I was just asking. You got really touchy and offensive for no reason. Be nicer.
James Phillips a lot of people who like outdoor activities like it here but honestly, there’s better place in NC that offer that as well bad is better. The only reason people know about this place is because of Fort Bragg. If Fort Bragg wasn’t there, that place would be even worse.
