That’s the pacific north west for ya. I would like to say, when it’s good it’s good, but it has to be new. Our snow doesn’t stay good here for more than the day it falls generally. Hope you get some freshies on your trip north. Good to have you in the neighborhood.

The snow level often rises up to 5,000 or 6,000 ft during the warmer part of the storm but its unusual to get rain at Mt Bachelor because its further inland/slightly colder and most of the mountain is 7,000 to 9,000 ft. The snow level often crashes down to 1,500 to 3,000 ft towards the end of the storm so even though there are quite a few good snow days. I prefer to visit Mt Bachelor in the spring because the odds of sunny day are much higher and the mountain has good views. Rain is more of a problem at the lower elevation ski areas like Snoqualamie Pass.

@@LucasCatania17 not sure how far north you are headed. But Mt. Baker Ski Area is at the end of HWY 542. The road up there is monitored by the Washington department of transportation. You can pay for an overnight camp in the lot or find a pullout alongside the road. The ski area only takes up 1/3 of the available terrain and most people only touch a small portion of what they see.
